The tour starts with a pick up at your hotel or cruise ship terminal between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. We offer round trip transfer from X, Y, Z. In case you stay in a remote area where transfer is not available, you need to come to the check in location on your own by 9:00 am. Our departure point is the cruise port in Bridgetown. Exact pick up time will be advised after reservation.
We will start the tour with a short stop at Barbados Garrison that has been the home of horse racing in Barbados since 1845. Take photos and listen to your guide's stories about the place. For example, many of the buildings around here were constructed of bricks straight from London, and the ships returned to London with sugar.
After a brief stop, we will head to Enterprise Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the South Coast. You will have the chance to enjoy a light snack (email). Then we will visit the secluded Foul Bay to enjoy the tranquility of the place.
On our way to the scenic Bathsheba Beach, we will stop at Codrington College to stroll around the pristine building and learn a little bit about its history and role. Many Caribbean priests have trained at the college and the institute still plays an active role in education and theological studies. The area is beautiful with a lily pond and a driveway lined with palm trees. There is a good chance we will see ducks, pigeons and fish as well.
Then panorama of Bathsheba Beach will impress you. It is not a coincidence that the beautiful area is so popular among surfers, locals and visitors as well.
We will head to North Point for another great view and explore Animal Flower Cave. The walls of the cave have many interesting and colorful formations thanks to the oxidation of copper and iron. You will see lizard, turtle and other exciting formations if you are vigilant enough to spot them. The cave also has crystal clear ponds, some of them deep enough to swim in them.
Our last stop is St. John's Church. It was built in 1846 to replace its predecessor that was destroyed by the Great Hurricane in 1831. The church offers a postcard-worthy panorama of the picturesque east coast.
We will return to Bridgetown by 5:00 pm and drop you off at your hotel or cruise ship terminal between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, if you are not from a remote area.
