Description
Choose from a morning or afternoon Barbados horseback riding tour and check in at our stable in Newcastle at 9:15 am or 2:00 pm. We offer round trip transfer from hotels and the cruise ship terminal for $20 per person. Exact pick up time will be advised after reservation.
This tour is for more experienced riders who are happy on horseback for longer periods of time at varied paces and for who love a challenging ride. Start your horseback riding trip in Barbados with a briefing where an experienced guide will introduce you to our fine endurance horses to find the perfect match. We pay personal attention to all our riders and horses.
On the way to Bath Beach we will ride through abundant vegetation, spot some happy green monkeys, pass by banana groves, and finally arrive to the beach where we will ride along the soft Caribbean sand. Take photos and enjoy the stunning panorama before heading Conset Bay.
We will pass by the pristine building of Codrington College where many Caribbean priests have trained. The institute still plays an active role in education and theological studies. We will not stop at the College, just meander through cart roads on down to Conset Bay.
Conset Bay is a picturesque sheltered bay, rich in heritage and traditions. We will visit a little fishing village here, nestled deep in the East Coast of Barbados. The area is quite lively and filled with the Caribbean spirit as fishermen sell their catch of the day on shore.
After a great horseback riding tour, we will return to the stables in Newcastle by 12:45 pm or 5:30 pm. Add on round trip transfer option to your booking and enjoy a smooth drop off at your hotel or cruise ship terminal. Great horses, staff and scenery
I fully recommend riding at these stables! I booked very last minute but Samantha was great at fitting me in for a 3 hour ride. I was picked up on time from my hotel and enjoyed the drive there chatting to Samantha. I was actually the only member of that ride with Albert as my guide. Albert was absolutely fantastic, laid-back and highly entertaining. He is also incredibly knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, which added a very interesting aspect. The ride itself was very varied with some 'runs' up more hilly parts. I am always slightly nervous about riding new horses (bad experiences in the past!) but mine (don't know how to spell the name) was great - very chilled and not highly-strung at all, which suited me brilliantly.Reviewed by IonaCS on November 30, 2019

We scheduled the Conset Bay Riding Tour for our first morning of the honeymoon. My wife loves horses and I knew this was the perfect way to start if off and she said it was the highlight of our honeymoon.
Sam picked us up right on schedule from our Cottage on the West Coast.
She is such an amazing and wonderful person and made for great conversation on our ride to and from the stables.
On our way to the stables she told us about some Barbados history, local customs and life in Barbados, and some great things to do/see while we were here.
The riding tour couldn't have been better. Bernard and Scott were our tour guides in what turned out to be a private tour as me and my wife were the only ones booked for that particular tour that day.
Bernard and Scott told us all about life in Barbados, all about the animal and plant life that we encountered and some Barbados history.
They both took great care of us, showed us some stunningly beautiful views of different parts of the island, and we rode on the beach which was mine and wife's favorite part. Bernard and Scott both took time while we were riding to take many pictures and videos of us throughout different parts of the ride to capture and hold on to the experience. Bernard even grabbed us some beautiful shells off Bath beach for us to keep which was really thoughtful and always had a good joke or beautiful poem to keep us entertained.
The whole ride and experience was incredible. It was fun, exciting, relaxing, informative, and just an all around great way to experience and see Barbados.
And DON'T forget to tip them when they provide such an experience.
I can't thank you enough Sam, Scott, and Bernard for providing such an amazing, incredible, and meaningful experience that we won't ever forget.
Excellent horseback tour!
My wife and I really enjoyed our entire experience with Ocean Echo Stables. The Historical Tour was a delightful trip through the Bajan countryside and the West coast. 3 hour ride - Conset Bay
Had the pleasure to go on the Conset Bay riding tour in February, which is an offer for experienced riders. My horse was spirited but not too much. I always felt safe to take my camera out to snap pictures (they provide fanny packs so you can take stuff with you). We rode across the beautiful onset bay area, rode on a beach (awesome!), up some steeper hills, through jungle type woods. Lots of canter periods involved - so fun! Absolutely recommend booking with Echo stables - nice guide who was so kind to take many pictures of my horse and me! After the ride I was served fruit punch by Samantha which was nice and much needed! Horses were friendly, relexad and healthy. Pick-up from hotel was on time!Reviewed by ninascott987 on March 05, 2019
