Description
The adventure starts with a short, 15 minute bus ride from the cruise ship terminal to our base camp in Maimon. We will gear you up, give a few safety instructions, rev our buggy engines and head off into the beautiful Dominican countryside following the Atlantic Ocean coastline on back country roads...
It is not unusual to pass someone on a donkey delivering milk, or roll past chickens and wild turkeys running down the road, or pass a piglet or two foraging in the mud and of course, waving at smiling locals along the way.
We will stop at an authentic little cigar rolling shack where you will learn about cigars, sample local organic hot chocolate and coffee and even taste a bit of Mamajuana! From the cigar shack we get back on the quads and drive across a river following a meandering road to a secluded beach for a quick break.
We will stop for lunch in a beautiful setting to enjoy a delicious authentic Dominican lunch, relax in loungers and take a dip in the ocean before returning to home base. We will serve you local rum drinks on the bus back to the cruise ship terminal.

The bus leaves one hour after docking so please disembark and get out to the meeting point as quickly as possible. As an independent tour operator, Carnival Cruise Lines will not allow us to offer you a convenient pick up inside the terminal. To get to the pick up point come off the ship, go through the duty-free liquor store and head left towards the parking lot/street where you'll see all of the tour buses lined up. Continue walking past all of the tour buses, and onto the sidewalk on the right of a little security hut, head towards the white metal gate to the highway (it will take around 12 minutes from the ship). Once outside the main gate look to your left and walk along the sidewalk as far as a white canopy where you will see our guide holding up a sign reading Iguana Mama.
