You will meet your local guide at 5:15 pm on weekdays or 3:45 pm on weekends at Starbucks in San Juan and enjoy a comprehensive walking tour led by writer David Rodríguez. Together you will visit the most famous sites of the area and learn about its interesting history.
First you will head to Columbus Square and take a look at the beautiful Old San Juan Casino. Your guide will tell you about the colorful history of the casino that was built in 1917.
Then we will walk past the impressive Fort San Cristobal. It is s thought to be the biggest fortress constructed on the American continent and was built to defend San Juan from land attacks.
We will walk through the beautiful La Princesa Walkway and surrounding areas, then pass by Plaza de Armas, the City Wall, and reach La Fortaleza. It has housed 170 governors of Puerto Rico and is still a functioning government building that was completed in 1540.
You will have the opportunity to take photos of Christ Chapel and La Rogativa, walk past the beautiful San Juan Cathedral, and finally the San Juan Gate.
Your guide will make sure you have personalized attention during the whole tour and share his knowledge about the amazing historical sites visited along the way.
After two exciting hours, you will return to the starting point with many unforgettable memories and photos.
