Description
Experience the incredible natural wonders of both Los Haitises National Park and Cayo Levantado on a day trip from Las Galeras. Our tour starts with a comfortable ride in air conditioned van to the national park.
We will explore the area by speedboat through mangrove forests and along its many canals, learning about the oysters, carp, river shrimp and manatees that thrive there. We will spend 2,5 hours here.
This wild reserve also called “The small bay of Halong” is made up of a set of small islands, a sanctuary for marine birds. We will also stop at several fascinating caves where the Taïnos Indians have left their traces.
We will then set out for the exclusive Cayo Levantado, also called as Bacardi Island. This island offers one of the most pristine beaches in the Dominican Republic. Swim in its crystalline waters, wander among coconut palms. stretch out on a beach chair and enjoy a traditional Dominican Buffet lunch. We will spend a total of 2,5 hours on the island.
Relax and enjoy the rest of the day before we leave the island and head back to Las Galeras.
