Very nice catamaran with very friendly and attentive staff! We rated this good instead of great because the overall tour was a lot of traveling. Including transport from the hotel it is about 3.5 hours of commuting to get to Shoal Bay each way (7 hours total). However, Shoal Bay is gorgeous and the lunch provided is very good!
    Response from supplier
Thank you for sharing your experience and taking the time to leave a recommendation. We set check in an hour before departure to ensure that we can clear immigration before travel and the sail over to Anguilla takes about an hour and 15 minutes. We are happy you enjoyed one of the top white sand beaches in the world and that the lunch was delicious. We hope to see you back again on another excursion with Aqua Mania Adventures.

From the moment you step aboard (TANGO) you are made to feel welcome and in no time you have a drink in your hand and are setting off towards Anguilla. Although the main sail is up its a motor driven trip over against the tide which can make for a slightly bumpy ride so take your meds. Swim or take the tender ashore and into bus for a trip across the island to Shoal Bay. A beautiful beach (a little breezy on our day) to crash out on a lounger (with umbrella) rum punch in hand;). A very good lunch (either fish, chicken or burger) is served in the dining room/bar (take some $ for the cash bar) before returning to the beach to play in the sand and surf. Its not long before you are back in the bus and heading back and the glorious trip under full sail back to St Maarten. The leisurely sail has you exclaiming "what a life" as the attentive Tango crew continually top up your drinks from the open bar and serve a little snack to help you along. Back on dry land it all seemed to go by so fast however I was shattered and certainly slept well in my bed that night. Thanks Tango and her crew

Wow, what a great day. I'm not sure what more you could ask for except, maybe more time on the beach. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The trip was smooth sailing to Anguilla and after a short bus tour of Anguilla, we had some time on the beach and a delicious lunch, before a great sail back. Even an afternoon shower didn't put much of a damper on this day. The staff made sure that while you were on the catamaran you were not in need of a drink or snack. They did a wonderful job!!! Well done crew!

I'm in the boat biz in The US and was impressed the way the boat was set up for the trips they do along with the cleanliness. Boat was spotless. Great crew, well organized.
We lucked out and went on a relatively calm day and took the trip to Anguilla. Incredible beach,no crowds , plenty of chairs, umbrellas and just the right amount of time being spent there.. Bus ride to Shoal Bay was a tad long going ( shorter return) but the driver was pretty witty and kept us entertained.
    I recommend the trip.
Don't have a greasy breakfast before you go and you'll be fine if it get a little breezy.

Tour was exactly as described. Not sure if it is always a rough ride heading to Anguilla, but it was our day. Service was good on board. Almost too good. Girls must have asked me 20 times if I wanted a drink. I said "no" 20 times. It was getting a bit annoying. Shoal Bay was beautiful, the drive was half hour up the coast. Captain was competent. Motored their and sailed most of the way back. Only other tidbit was tipping at the end. It was made clear to tip. Would take this trip again.

Fantastic! Pick up from hotel on time, organized registration by local operator Aqua Mania. The crew was absolutely dedicated, cater to everybody's need and beyond, onboard as well as on shore. All staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgable, lunch was yummy, free drinks were flowing aboard the catamaran. Onto Anguilla, comfy air conditionned bus with sympatic driver, the island tour was fun with plenty of informations about local coutumes. Shoal Bay has pristine, fine sand, lots of sun chairs and almost 3 hours to snorkel...which was amazing. Equipment is included and snorkeling is right at the beach, really close, and beautiful.I would not only recommend this tour but I will do this tour again!

This is the second time we've used this company to book a day trip over to Anguilla. Both times we were on the Tango. The captain and crew were amazing! Even with slightly croppy waters, they made the ride over enjoyable. We've visited Shoal Bay and Cove Bay. The beaches are beautiful and the lunches served on the beach are fantastic. You can't go wrong visiting Anguilla with them.

    Hi Denise!

Thank you for your review and sharing your experience here on tripadvisor. We are very happy to hear that you had an amazing time in Anguilla! Perhaps when you come back next time, you can visit Saba or St. Barths! Saba is the ideal location for hikers, nature lovers and divers. We organize guided tours as well, showing you the history and beauty of the island. Some facts: Mount Scenery is the highest point in the Dutch kingdom and the island served as one of the main shooting locations for the first King Kong movie. Definitely worth a visit!

St. Barths is the playground of the Rich and Famous, and by taking the 45 min ride over with the Edge ferry, it can be yours for the day! Visit one of the beaches or walk through the capital Gustavia and visit its historic sites.

Second trip with this company. First time was to Prickly pair and anguilla. Terrific day so we decided to go again to a second destination. Tango crew and captain are experienced and attentive. They pass around cheese cubes, apple slices and bread slices with as many beverages as you want. Tango sails really smooth due to its size and the trip to and from put you in a perfect mood. The trip to Shoal bay is a quick one and Oh man, what a beach white powder sand and beautiful water. Lunch is your choice of ribs, chicken or fish. Everyone was happy with their choice. On the way home if the winds are favorable they cut the power and run up the sails. I gotta go back and do this again!

Excellent sailing, absolutely beautiful beach, fun crew. The snorkeling was below average and they did not provide fins, just a mask and snorkel. Great day on the water but don't expect to see much snorkeling.

Got picked-up from our Hotel at 7:45am to head over to Simpson Bay. At arrival, staff checked us in. Bring your passport. After a short wait, we took the “Tango” Catamaran and sailed to Anguilla. The ride over was great. It was smooth sailing on a perfect sunny day. You can sit on the back or in the front “rope” area. The “Tango” crew were friendly. They serve you with Rum Punch or beer and a snack (cheese and baguette). We arrived and docked in Cole Bay. You have the option to jump and swim over to shore or take a small motor boat to shore. We were driven across the island to Shoal Bay. White Sand and Clear Turquoise Water = AMAZING. It’s your free time so you do whatever you want. You can opt to just chill or snorkel (staff will provide the gear). Then we had lunch over at the small restaurant by the beach (included). Options were burger, chicken BBQ or ribs. Alcohol is at your own expense. Mid-afternoon, we headed back to Cole Bay to start sailing back to St. Maarten. Had a great time! Anguilla’s Shoal Bay is a must see beauty. Thanks to the "Tango" crew.

this is our third time to ST. Maarten and have been on 6 or 7 snorkeling trips this by far has been the worst. the money spent for three people is a lot. the crew was fine until you ask questions like how come you do not get fins with snorkel gear. or when it says you get a beverage with lunch and they tell you your beverage was your welcome to the beach rum punch that you get one and one half hours before lunch. by the way my ten year old daughter is not allowed to have rum. but thanks for all the other snorkel trips as they were all 5 stars.

We booked for a day trip to Shoal Bay,Anguilla,BWI.The sailing trip was one of the highlights due to excellent staff service which was non-stop from the moment you step into the catamaran. The beach was one of the best-white sand, crystal clear water. The marine park was disappointing though with not much to see.Lunch was excellent. Will visit again.

We had a blast on this day. The catamaran over was exciting and a perfect sunny day. it was fun to sit on the rope part and see the water pass you underneath. Anguilla is gorgeous. A quiet tiny island, with amazing blue waters. We parked the boat in the water and jumped off and swam to shore. You can take the little boat over but the water was refreshing. We drove to Shoal Bay were we were in awe of the blue water. We had a great lunch on the beach at a restaurant. You are left to do as you wish as Shoal Bay. The crew has snorkels with them to use. I however was under the impression we all stopped somewhere, that would be my only complaint. We sailed back to St Maarten and the captain got some fish, and we all drank and danced and had snacks. IT was a great day!
