Do it! At least once in your life....can't get over how enjoyable this experience was. The crew made us feel comfortable and allowed us to swim freely. The dolphins wanted to play and clearly enjoyed us when we would dive down with them.

My daughter had always wanted to swim with the dolphins. She finally had her chance. She was in a group of 6 where they took turns touching, swimming and even ‘high five’ with the dolphins. It’s was a very controlled environment and closely supervised by staff.

While my daughter really enjoyed her time with the dolphins, 30 minutes shared time is hardly any time at all.

I joined a unique dolphin swim in Curaçao. What a fantastic experience I had with these great and beautiful swimming creatures. Wouldn't miss it for the world. Afterwards I attended a dolphin training and visit the under water observatory boat (Boebi) and was amazed by the beauty of (nurse) sharks, stingrays, tarpons and many more fish. After a stroll through the (sea) aquarium with beautiful flora and fauna, flamingos among other things, the sealion show is also a must see.

It has always been a dream of mine to swim with dolphins and Dolphin Academy made that dream come true. For almost 200$. Yeah, it's pretty expensive, but most people don't do it on a monthly basis so it's worth the money. The Dolphin Swim was wonderful, the animals were so nice and very good listeners. They did everything the trainer said they had to and would do so if there would be any fear, the dolphins will take it away. Couldn't have been happier with the dolphinswim (well, maybe if is was 100$ cheaper...). Oh and if you want a picture or two of your swim, you'll have to pay an extra 20$ to get prints and 40$ if you want an USB-stick. Are the dolphins that expensive to feed that you have to pay that additional 20$ on top of the nearly 200$?

Aquarium was very small. The sharks were pretty cool, but kept swimming in circles and didn't do much more. There were a few aquariums with fish and corals, but don't expect much because you will be disappointed. Entrance fee for the aquarium definitely isn't worth it.
Overall, I'm happy I did this and I paid for it because it's a once in a lifetime thing.

We did the Dolphin encounter but you can also do the Dolphin Swim! Come early and watch a few of the shows and wander around after through the Aquarium! It was definitely a great time for all!

My family has swam with dolphins in the past, but it was nothing like this! The dolphins are well trained, and, more importantly, well taken care of! This facility is amazing and truly takes care of all the animals' needs both physical and mental. The dolphins in our group were friendly and interactive. I am impressed with the entire operation!

The dolphin academy is a great place to learn and interact with dolphins. Although the show was great the real treat was having a swim with the dolphins in their enclosure. It’s also nice to know the dolphins are taken out to sea every once in a while.

I definitely enjoyed my dolphin swim experience. They did a nice job of explaining the whole process of swimming, using hand signals, where to pet them (under their dorsal fin), so I felt comfortable swimming with these beautiful aquatic creatures. The dolphin were friendly and mostly cooperative. They had a new trainer, so they put her to the test (kind of like children testing out a substitute teacher). I would definitely do this experience in a minute. Loved it!

This was my husbands first time swimming with dolphins and my second, where he had nothing to compare the day to whilst I had previously done discovery cove in Florida.

I loved the fact the dolphins was aloud back into the sea and had a lot of room to swim and play and you can clearly see the love the trainers have for the dolphins and genuinely care for them.

A few things that I wasn’t Impressed with is the lack of changing facilities before you get into the water - there was no lockers for you to leave your stuff in and when we went into the water with our group we had to just leave our personal belongings on the side and then when we got out of the water we was told to hurry up as the next group was coming.

Once we was in the water I found that we got very little one on one time with the dolphin and some couples got to do some things that others didn’t,I didn’t get to do the swim on the back and nor did my husband but another couple in the water seemed to get loads of time and I did feel rather disappointed.

Once the dolphin swim was over (lasted approx 30 mins) there wasn’t much else to do other than have a look at the few aquarium tanks inside and “try” to get a seat in the overpriced and very busy restaurant.
We paid $100 USD for a usb stick with some photos on which I felt was a lot of money to pay but of course it’s a captive audience as people will want to pay to look back on there day.

I know that swimming with dolphins in the Caribbean will be very different to discovery cove as it’s more in there natural environment but I felt we didn’t get a lot for our money. At discovery cove you pay a little less and get so much more included like the snorkelling in the lagoon, the lazy rivers etc and you do get meals included not to mention places to relax - where as Curacao I felt was take your money and that’s it.
It wouldn’t hurt to give people a free drink voucher for the money they have paid.

once in a lifetime I wanted to swim with Dolphins and I think the Dolphin Academy is the right place to do so. The staff is really friendly and professional and it seems that they are taking good care of the dolphins. I’ve heard from a friend who visited the academy third times and she advised it to me.
The experience ("Dolphin swim") is not cheap, but in my opinion it is really worth it. It was a great experience. You have enough time to get in touch with the Dolphins. The trainer was very good. You can bring your own snorkel equipment.
During the swim a photographer is taking pictures of you. However, you have to pay extra for the pictures, which is no cheap. If you want all pictures on a USB stick you have to pay 80 USD. However, the pictures are in a very good quality
Thanks a lot for a great afternoon – good job!

I always wanted to swim with Dolphins and I think the Dolphin Academy is the right place to do so. The staff is really friendly and professional and it seems that they are taking good care of the dolphins. Their habitat is very close to their natural home and they are also able to go "outside".
During the swim a photographer is taking pictures of you. However, you have to pay extra for the pictures, which is no cheap. If you want all pictures on a USB stick you have to pay 80 USD. As one already paid for the swim it would only be fair if you get at least one picture for free...
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the dolphin swim and I am really glad I participated.
Thanks a lot to our trainer George. I had a lot of fun and a really great time! :)

Always wanted to experience to swim with dolphins so when on Curaçao we had to go here. The staff was friendly and professional. The dolphin swim was with 5 adults and 3 dolphins.
Shame the pictures were very expensive to buy, considering you already pay quite a lot for the swim itself.. but ofcourse this was to be expected ;-) overall it was worth it for this beautiful, once in a lifetime experience!

I was hesitant to do the dolphin swim as my husband and I have done it years ago in Jamaica and it wasn't much fun and the time was extremely short.
We did this as a family and my dreams came true! You truly get time in the water with the dolphins! My 8 year old daughter was the happiest I've ever seen her. The staff seemed to really care about the dolphins. This was by far the best experience of my life. The staff were extremely friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I highly recommend this place!

We booked a dolphin experience and a dolphin swim while stopping in Curacao for the day from a cruise ship. A lovely birthday treat.
If you wait in the taxi area, its best to share a taxi as its 20 dollars one way but 5 dollars each if more than 4 of you in the taxi.
We watched the main dolphin show, such clever animals and wandered about, there is not that much to see, some flamingos that have a small enclosure and the tank for the sharks looked quite small, but I am unsure if they go to another area when it is closed.
The dolphin experience was fantastic, well worth the money, the only draw back is that the photos are too pricy and I felt the girl who was taking the photos was not that interested, my photos were quite poor and she did not take a lot to choose from.( you could take your camera with you, and ask someone to take some shots as the area is secure, it is only the people taking part that is in the area where you can leave your towel).
You stand on a metal platform in the water (waist height) and there is a fence to hold onto if you need to. We got to spend a lot of time with them and it did not feel rushed.

Livingstone, the dolphin man was knowledgeable and very gentle with the dolphins. My partner George did the swimming with dolphins and just loved it. He would recommend also.

We took the dolphin swim and it was such a magical experience! You get to interact with the animals and it was worth all the money! The only thing I was missing is more information about how the facility is run (training if the dolphins and their well-being).

This was the first time my husband or I had ever done a swim with dolphins, and we both really enjoyed it. The dolphins are incredible and the Academy trainers do a really good job of giving everyone time to pet and swim with the dolphins. They provide you with flippers to help you swim more easily and teach you how to interact safely with the dolphins. Considering how many people they handle, the Academy does a good job of splitting you into small groups to better your experience and interacting with you in your preferred language. The price is also reasonable considering it includes access to the aquarium and is much less than the dolphin experience near where I live in Florida. Very cool!
