Our favorite day in Curacao! They're not joking when they say the ride out is rough, but SO worth it! The island is stunning and the crew was the most lively bunch of guys! Always making sure everyone was safe and having fun. BBQ lunch was excellent. The ride back was very calm. We made it back in about half the time it took us to get out, so we stoped for a while, the crew raised the sail and we were able to relax and have a few drinks before arriving back on the dock right for 5:00. Highly recommend, you won't regret it!!

Simply a perfect day out. Nice boat, great food, and super friendly crew on this trip to klein Curaçao. I had a great time there, walking to the lighthouse and the shipwreck. Lots of turtles and fish to see if you go snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. A wonderful barbecue lunch served on the boat, pluss open bar after 12.00.
Thans to the crew of Irie tours, for making this a perfect day.

This was one of our first excursions we did in Curacao and we loved it! The ride there was a little rocky because we went through storms, but the guides made sure everyone was safe and got everything they needed. The island was beautiful! There was a lighthouse you could explore, and you were able to walk around most of the island. We spent the day lounging on the beach and snorkeling. We also saw quite a few sea turtles! The lunch was great, as well as the open bar. Everything was very relaxing and the guides were so nice! Would recommend this to anyone!

Great experience overall. Quite an adventure to get to the island as seas were rough. Our Captain was very competent and did a good job navigating. Once off the boat we really enjoyed exploring the island. The shipwrecks and lighthouse were very cool. Lighthouse is fully accessible and you can climb the tower. Overall I would recommend it for the adventurous types. I would say that it would not be a good choice for those prone to seasickness due to the potential rough sees. I would not recommend this tour for small children either. We are a family with two adult daughters. It was fun for us. Loved the fact that the island was uninhabited.

We got picked up by a fun bus, which made a few more stops at other resorts to pick up others for the same trip. We ultimately arrived at the marina, and went through the check-in process. Simple enough. We met the captain (Captain Frits) and crew (very friendly and fun group), Boarded the catamaran called Jonalisa, and we were off.

I'll get into the lunch further in this review, but just an FYI about the breakfast. If you're expecting a full on eggs/bacon/pancakes/waffles type deal, you will be sorely disappointed. Breakfast is cheese, and cheese/deli meat as sandwiches in rolls. It makes sense, as you'd likely be puking up all over the place if you set sail after a heavy breakfast.

The trip to the island was pleasant. The weather was gorgeous and the sea was relatively calm. We hung out near the bow and got splashed with sea water now and then from the waves.

The trip to the island was much quicker than the advertised 1.5 hr duration. Once we anchored, guests had the option to just dive into the turquoise blue water and swim ashore, or get ferried to the beach via a skiff.

Once ashore, My wife and I, along with a few other guests asked one of the crew when they would hand out the snorkeling gear. His face grew legitimately concerned as he tells us that we had to ask for it at check in.....WHAT? One of the other guests thankfully had a copy of the flyer that said equipment is provided, with no mention that guests has to actually ask for them in advance. He told us that he had been with Bounty Adventures for over 4 months and not once has this come up. He said all the flyers are supposed to mention that guest need to ask for gear at check in. He was legitimately upset and apologetic about the situation and took our hotel info down, so that the office could get rid of the old flyers at the location. He then said he would talk to the captain to see what could be done to remedy this, as we told him that if we knew this from the get-go, we would have asked immediately or at least purchased our own gear prior to the day of the excursion.

As it turned out, there were only 3 reserve snorkel masks/breathers on the ship with no way of getting more, so they had to be SHARED among 7 people.

That was the only sour note of the trip.

The beach was gorgeous. My wife and I saw a couple of sea turtles while snorkeling.

We walked out to the lighthouse at the center of the island and took some photos, then made our way to the rusted hulk of the shipwrecked cargo vessel that has been sitting there for 60 years and took a few more photos. NOTE: If you plan on walking around the island, consider that while it is flat, the ground is rough. I recommend at the very least that you bring comfy footwear like rugged sandals or hiking shoes, as flip flops will not cut it!

The island used to be populated by birds and people, but is mainly populated by lizards now, and dotted with fossilized coral. I asked one of the crew about the coral, and he said that many sections of the island used to be underwater before plate shifts and volcanic activity pushed those sections above sea level.

We saw some tiny hermit crabs on shore and a couple of big ones. One was golf ball sized and the other almost tennis ball sized.

There was a BBQ lunch served aboard the Jonalisa at 12:30pm consisting of pasta salad, coleslaw, tuna salad, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken and burger patties. They had this REALLY good peanut sauce that was amazing.

As of 12:00 noon, the full bar was open with complimentary drinks....Niceeeeeee!

We set sail back to Curacao around 3:30pm and were back at the marina before 5:00pm. We then boarded the bus and were taken back to our respective hotels/resorts.

My wife and I booked this for our honeymoon, and had a great time. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy/windy (only day it rained the entire trip!), so we were unable to fully enjoy everything that Klein Island had to offer. With that said, the staff were all great and made the best of everything. We were still able to snorkel for a bit and saw some awesome fish.

The ride out was extremely rough with a few passengers feeling sick. I think it may have been worse than usual due to the weather, but come prepared. We had a great time during lunch and the open bar was great. Trip back was smooth sailing and lots of fun. The caption even took us through this beautiful inlet, as we were running early and he wanted to ensure we got the most of our trip.

Highly recommend- but try to schedule for a day with nice weather if possible!!! Hope to go back someday and see more of the island.

Beware: the ride out to Klein Curacao is rough. We were told this before booking so it was expected. The captain and crew were awesome. We saw sea turtles swimming close to the boat and the beach. On the way to and from, we saw flying fish. On the island, there is an abandoned light house as well as a shipwreck. Lunch and happy hour was awesome. It is a long day, but so worth it. Be sure to pack your sunscreen as the sun is hot! Highly recommend!

Awesome Day Trip! Check in is around 7:30 am but expect to wait around 45 mins - 1 hr for everyone to be checked in/before departure. The ride out is a bit bumpy and expect to get wet. Other than that, the ride back is smooth and very enjoyable. The island is amazing. You get to see sea turtles and plenty of fish. The beach is fantastic.

My wife and I loved the trip to Klein Curacao. On the ride out we saw dozens of flying fish which I’d never seen before. It’s true the ride out there is rough for those that are more prone to sea sickness. Thankfully I am not one to suffer from any type of motion or sea sickness and so it was fine for me. On our boat of about 35 passengers, I believe one or two people had some sickness during the ride but the crew were incredible and very caring. They looked after everyone and were always checking to make sure all the passengers were doing well and when I observed one passenger become ill, the crew expertly took care of her.

The ride is about 2 hours to the island and it’s a great treat when you get there. Pristine sand and stunningly clear waters make the island an excellent destination for snorkeling. We saw some beautiful tropical fish and some sea turtles. My wife and I were surprised at the large size of some of the turtles. We always maintain a respectful distance to sea creatures but on a couple of occasions the turtles, being curious, came closer to check us out!

We didn’t walk around the island too much, because we were so obsessed with being in the beautiful sea and snorkeling. However, we did observe some beautiful local birds in the area.

The bbq lunch on the boat was nice and the open bar after lunch was appreciated. I highly recommended the trip, if you can tolerate some rough waters on the way out. On the way back the trip was smooth sailing.

Five stars for the crew too, they are wonderful.

I embarked on the day-long adventure to Klein Curacao in July and had a great time! As other reviewers have noted, the trip to the island is very rough (I personally loved that part) and does take some time, so be prepared for big swells and note - you will get wet.

Once at the island, I hiked out to the lighthouse and shipwrecks - both stunning and photogenic. The beach was beautiful, but with the substantial wind, it wasn't very pleasant at ground-level, with sand whipping you at high speeds. The snorkeling was exceptional though, and we saw countless fish and a number of sea turtles.

A delicious lunch was prepared for us, and the bar was open at noon as advertised, though a few of the patrons took the generosity of the crew a bit too far, overindulging and falling asleep before we even sailed back to Curacao.

The sail back was beautiful, and with the wind, the deck was remarkably calm as the rest of the passengers mingled and enjoyed the view.

Our adventure was awesome! This is our second trip with this company, each time was fantastic!! Captain Coconut and his crew were outstanding, professional, accommodating and fun! Trip out was against the wind, so we got very wet! Snorkeled with fish and sea turtles in beautiful waters for hours; walked around the island visiting the light house and ship wrecks. Cool pictures! Lunch and drinks were delicious! Trip back they used sails, wonderful trip. Be sure to use lots of sunscreen.

My friends and I took a trip to Klein Curacao for the day on 6/14/18. I'm pretty seasoned with boating and boat trips, but I have to say it was rough getting out to the island. No fault of the boat or crew, Mother Nature is what she is :)
The island is beautiful and the water fantastic, lots of sea life around to see while snorkeling! I saw some sea turtles and an octopus amongst other varied fishes. The crew really made the day very fun and enjoyable, Shout outs to Armando, Anna Marie, Joy and of course Captain Clifton.
The trip back was far more enjoyable with the wind at our backs. We even set the sails for the last half hour or so of the return voyage. All in all, A+ day!
