Description
Join us on the original and the Dominican Republic's most famous adventure tour, the 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua. Jump, slide and swim down the waterfalls in this 5-hour extraordinary expedition through the jungle following your local guides. The name 27 "Waterfalls" is actually a mistranslation from the Spanish word "Charcos" which means pools not waterfalls. There are only in fact a total of around 12 actual waterfalls even on the full trip to number 27.
We will pick you up at the cruise ship terminal according the your cruise line's schedule (we will let you know the exact pick up time after reservation) then drive you to the entrance of the Damajagua Nature Reserve. We will give you a safety briefing and gear you up with life jacket and helmet.
The tour starts with a moderate hike of around 70 minutes that leads up to the top of the falls where the real fun begins as make your way back down to base camp through rivers, falls and natural pools. This tour will definitely leave a silly grin on your face and memories to cherish! The total river time is approximately 2.5 hours. Jumps can be as high as 25 feet (8 meters) but don't worry, the big jumps all have a walk-around if you are not comfortable with the height.
After the tour, you will enjoy an authentic Dominican lunch and local rum drinks before heading back to the cruise ship terminal. You can use the on site showers and changing room to put on some dry clothes.

The bus leaves one hour after docking so please disembark and get out to the meeting point as quickly as possible. As an independent tour operator, Carnival Cruise Lines will not allow us to offer you a convenient pick up inside the terminal. To get to the pick up point come off the ship, go through the duty-free liquor store and head left towards the parking lot/street where you'll see all of the tour buses lined up. Continue walking past all of the tour buses, and onto the sidewalk on the right of a little security hut, head towards the white metal gate to the highway (it will take around 12 minutes from the ship). Once outside the main gate look to your left and walk along the sidewalk as far as a white canopy where you will see our guide holding up a sign reading Iguana Mama.
