Tall Albert and JT were amazing tour, safety and snorkeling guides. They were very knowledgeable about the Island, it’s marine life and always focused on safety. I would recommend that you give it a try when visiting Sint Marteen. I would definitely go and do the Sand Dollar Snorkeling again.

The second was the "Sand Dollar" boat on a snorkeling trip. The trip was very good but the tour guide was a little lackluster.

We did the Sand Dollar trip to Creole Rock for snorkeling. Junior was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable I just wish we had more time to snorkel. The boat ride was 40-45 minutes one way which leaves you with about 1 hour to snorkel.

We were the lucky ones to get a private trip and it was fantastic... Junior was an excellent Captain who showed up all the interesting sights along the way. He took great care to ensure that we were enjoying the voyage, pointed out where to find the fish and make sure we were safe!!!

Went on a snorkeling trip with Junior during pretty rough seas and he did a great job hosting the trip and loved the tour. We saw a ton of fish, urchins, coral etc despite the rough seas. Thanks Junior!!

we had the pleasure of taking the sand dollar (1/2 day snorkeling) tour today, our last day in St Martin, and we loved every minute of it!! We were fortunate enough to be the only ppl who booked the 2pm tour with Captain Ian, who was AWESOME! Snorkeling at Creole Rock was the best part of our trip to the island hands down! Eel, tropical fish, barracuda, and beautiful coral were just a few of the highlights. Ian was absolutely amazing and very knowledgable about the sites we passed along the way. Drinks on board were a huge plus and Ian tended to our every need from the moment we stepped on to the boat. Creole rock was everything we hoped it would be and the tour/company itself, lived up to their amazing reviews! Tips for future travelers: bring cash so that you can tip your captain, which you'll certainly want to do...both ATM's nearby were out of order when the tour ended so we were unable to leave as much of a tip as Ian very well deserved to have been left. :/. Go on this tour one of the first days you get to the island, it will make you want to explore more of it!

We took a 3 hour snorkeling tour on the Sand Dollar. It went to Creole Rock. The water and fish were beautiful. The most fun we had was with Captain Roy on the Round the Island tour on the Santino. We loved snorkeling with sea turtles and snorkeling again at Creole Rock. We had opportunities to swim in two beautiful places around the Island. We truly enjoyed just riding on the boat. We did bounce around quite a bit. This added to the fun for us. If you want a perfectly smooth ride it may not be the trip for you. For us it was a perfect way to spend our last full day on St. Maarten.

Hi David,
Thank you so much for leaving this wonderful review, it was so lovely to welcome you on 3 of our trips! You picked the ones that really compliment each other, a fun and romantic evening cruise, a half day snorkeling trip and then the round the island cruise, a great way to explore St Maarten! We hope to welcome you back on a future visit to St Maarten, we still have some other fun trips for you to try!

We went to Creole Rock, French side, to snorkel with Sand Dollar. The tour was scheduled from 10-2. We left late and came back early.
We saw a variety of parrot fish, an eel, Sargent majors and a ray. We spent one hour there snorkeling. Not the best snorkeling in the Caribbean. We saw several groups arriving when we were leaving. Very congestive especially the group of rubber boats that arrived. It did not appear to be a protective area as we were told.
Response from supplier
Thank you for this very useful review. We can only further improve our service with feedback from our guests. The Sand Dollar tour you were scheduled on is a 3 hour snorkeling trip from 10am - 1pm and again from 2pm - 5pm. Perhaps you have been misinformed about the time you were to return, which made it seem as if we cut the excursion short. Obviously we do regret leaving a little late, sometimes circumstances (last minute check ins, rain squall, etc) prevent us from being punctual, however we do keep a strict schedule. It takes approximately 45 minutes to get to Creole Rock, which leaves you with over an hour to snorkel. The visibility can be a factor when going snorkeling, but you have actually seen quite a variety of fish! Creole Rock is a rock formation with a healthy eco life. It is located in a protected nature park, which restricts the number of people allowed per boat to a maximum of 28. It is a popular snorkel spot and certain days can be busier than others, especially in high season. Perhaps next time you would like to try our snorkeling trip to Prickly Pear, with an additional stop in Anguilla. This is a lovely full day trip with an hour snorkeling at the fantastic reef by Prickly Pear, then beach time at tranquil Anguilla. We hope to see you back during a next visit to St. Maarten!

We booked the Sand Dollar snorkeling trip and loved it... Ian was our captain and did a wonderful job showing us the sites along the boat ride and telling us about what we would be seeing in the water. We snorkeled at Creole Rock and were able to see a ton of fish. We even jumped back in the water when Ian spotted a sting ray along the ocean floor. On our way back we took the long way and were able to watch the KLM flight approach directly overhead in Maho Bay and land at the airport. Good sites, good drinks, good fun!

We took the Sand Dollar to Creole Rock for a morning of snorkeling. It was a fun excursion. I was a bit worried at first when I saw the condition, and size of the Sand Dollar. I thought we might be in for a 3 hour tour. We were in for a good time! Junior was very nice, and showed concern for our safety. He offered beverages before we even departed Simpson Bay. As we headed to Creole rock, he gave us a tour and oriented us to the beaches we were passing. When we arrived at creole rock, there were a few other boats already there. The snorkeling was great! We were there for an hour, but I could have stayed a lot longer. The rest of my group was ready to head in at about 45 minutes. On the ride back, junior gave us a tour of the exteriors of some of the super yachts. It was a wonderful half day excursion.
