Description

Join us on a family-friendly yet upscale cruise, within walking distance from the cruise ship terminal. Your exciting day will include sailing, water activities, a delicious homemade lunch and refreshments from our high quality open bar. If you are celebrating, just let us know and we will provide a nice cake from the French bakery at no extra cost. Enjoy beach time, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding and our Tarzan swing.

Meet us at 9:45 am at Dock Maarten if coming on a cruise ship or at the Simpson Bay Yacht Club if staying in a hotel. Check in time is flexible, you can start the tour whenever you want.

Find a comfy spot on the cushioned seats and enjoy the warm Caribbean weather. Our two main stops are Mullet Bay and Little Bay. We might also make stops at Simpson Bay or Cay Bay, and our captain is happy to tailor the itinerary to your needs if sea conditions and timing allows it.

Once everybody is on board we will present a safety briefing and a short overview of the day and the tour itinerary. Then we will leave behind the beautiful coastline of St. Maarten and start our 5-hour private catamaran excursion. The first stop is Little Bay where you can swim and snorkel with a myriad of colorful fish and coral, stay on board or enjoy some beach time. Try paddle boarding and kayaking too.

After Little Bay we will sail towards Mullet Bay where we will spend approximately 1.5 hour. Among other activities, you will have the chance to try the Tarzan swing and jump into the sea! It is a safe and super-entertaining trapeze swing and can be fun and easy for all ages from children to elders.

A hearty, home made meal will be served on board, so you can enjoy your lunch with a spectacular view, great atmosphere and the delicious, authentic tastes of a typical local meal. Cookies and chocolate follow as dessert. If you are celebrating a birthday or engagement, we are happy to provide a cake or flowers too.

On our way back we will pass by the word famous Maho Beach where we might be lucky and see the huge planes landing right over our heads. There is a good chance but please note that we cannot guarantee to see large passenger planes.

Enjoy our open bar with high quality refreshments and the last sips of your rum punch as we head back to the departure point.

Absolutely the best day on the water. Incredible crew, clean sailboat, top notch service. Friendly people made this day the best. Paddle boarding, kayaking, and swimming are some of the activities aboard Random Wind Anna and Luke were outstanding, professional and kind. Our kids (ages 13, 12 and 10) had a blast. This is a family friendly excursion. The food and drinks were plentiful, even a sweet treat after lunch. :) This sailboat did not feel crowded in any way. I highly recommend this outing.

Random Wind is the perfect day sail on a beautiful Catamaran with an outstanding crew (Captain Luke and First Mate Darcy). Avoid the larger crowded cruise ship excursions! random Wind typically has a friendly 12-18 people (occasionally maxing out at ~22) but never 30-40 people! Pleasant day sail from Great Bay to Mullet Bay and Little Bay. Swimming, snorkeling, “swinging on a Tarzan” swing. Great food, excellent company, good music and open bar. A must do in St Maarten whether your staying on the island or passing through on a cruise ship.

I had a group of 34 people that chartered a private tour them. We spent the day snorkeling, eating a fantastic lunch and swinging off the Tarzan rope! Diane is extremely professional and detailed, which made planning very easy for my group. One of the best experiences we had during our week in St. Maarten!

Our Group of 26 rented 'The Spirit of the Caribbean' out for a day trip. Luuke, Darcy, Noah were fantastic hosts who made the trip one of the best excursions!!
Awesome drinks, food, and hospitality were provided. We enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding, and obviously the famous Tarzan swing. Our youngest member of the group, 4 year old Harrision, went 3 times off the swing.
If in St Maarten you can not go wrong with Random Wind!!

This was by far the best day of our week long cruise! The crew of Random Wind was warm, welcoming and made sure our group of 16 had an amazing day. The sailboat is absolutely beautiful, the Tarzan swing was so fun for the kids, and we even got to hang with the sweetest dog, Prince! We had 10 kids in our group and 6 adults. Every single person had a blast. From beautiful scenery, to lovely water, to wonderful food, it was a perfect day. They even had a cake and treats ready for our son’s birthday to make it special. I can’t recommend this crew enough. Wonderful people on a wonderful boat!

My family of 5 went on our first cruise last week on the Carnival Conquest. Our ship arrived late, so I contacted Anna the owner. She calmed my nerves, and told me that she already knew it was running late, and that they were waiting for us. The drinks and food were absolutely amazing, but what stood out most was the family atmosphere. Anna and crew were so warm and welcoming! I've seen excursions where people are packed on boats - there was so much room, and it felt like a family gathering. The food was absolutely amazing, the drinks were delicious, snorkeling was breathtaking, and even though I'm 40, I tried the trapeze! (twice!) My kids, ages 14, 15, and 16, said this was their favorite day on our cruise. I was worried a bit about not booking an excursion through Carnival, but went with my gut because of the amazing ratings. Anna told us it was her job to keep an eye on the time, and ensured us we would be back with plenty of time to spare. It rained for about 10 minutes, and Anna invited everyone inside the ship. I stayed outside with another woman, and it was one of the best moments in my life. The rain fell on my face, and myself and the other woman sat in the two seats that go out beyond the front of the boat. It was the most peaceful, fulfilling moment of my life. Who would've thought that 10 minutes of rain would have had such an impact on me? Thank you so much for welcoming our family onto your home Anna!

We stopped on St Marteen as one of our cruise ports and decided to do this excursion. My family of grandparents down to 12 year olds ALL said this was the best day of the cruise. Captain Jake was fantastic and the crew was even better. The lunch they served was light and perfect for being out on a boat and doing water activities. We had a full boat of people (30) but it did not feel crammed in, the boat was large enough and had so many different areas to sit and relax. These guys know how to do it and I would HIGHLY recommend Random Wind to anyone looking for a great day on the water!!!

We charted this boat for the perfect day of sailing, drinking, eating and more drinking!! The crew (Anna and Stephan) was beyond amazing and very accommodating. It feels like they're one of friends within the group. I did this for my birthday and it was a great way to distress with close friends (about 7 of us). From the paddle board, to snorkeling and going on random adventures on the French side of St. Marteen's beach. I loved every minute and would definitely book then AGAIN! Only thing I wish is that we could have had a longer day of sailing (even though it was their fault I had to catch another boat earlier) lol. But other than that, it definitely exceeded my expectations!

Anna and Stefan were excellent hosts for our group of 13. Everyone with us enjoyed themselves. We booked the entire boat for our family because we wanted it to remain small and comfortable for us. The dock was a short walk, maybe 10 minutes from the cruise terminal. After applying sunscreen we were ready to go. Anna's dog, Prince, went with us all day and enjoyed every lap that would welcome him. What a cutie he is and very friendly too.

Anna gave us a little information about the day at the beginning and let us know about the bathroom aboard, where we could sit comfortably, what to watch out for and where to find the drinks. There are several comfortable cushions we could lounge on in the sun as well as a great deal of shade for those not wanting to be in the sun all day. There are even two spots way in front where we could sit out over the water. We sailed to an area and enjoyed snorkeling and jumping off the boat into the clear water in St. Maarten. Anna and Stefan provided snorkel gear as well as floating noodles for us to use in the water. We spent a good amount of time in the water as they prepared lunch for us, and what a treat it was. The curry chicken skewers were wonderful on top of a chopped house salad with a citrus vinaigrette as well as rice and bread for us all to enjoy. It was delicious. We were also provided with all sorts of drinks from water and juice to beer and mixed drinks. They even provided us with dessert to enjoy.

After lunch we pulled anchor and sailed again to another spot where we hooked up to a buoy and got to go swimming again. This time Stefan and Anna set up the Tarzan swing. We got to show off our acrobatic skills and make fools of ourselves while swinging into the water. Great pictures and a lot of laughs.

I would definitely recommend this tour with highest praises. What a lovely, clean boat and friendly crew. The boat holds up to 37 people but I think it might be a little crowed with that many. Our small group was perfect and we all had many choices of where to sit while on board.

One thing to take in mind is that anyone who gets sea sick should take something either orally or maybe a patch for this tour. The waves can get a little rough sometimes and if you add alcohol to that, it might make it worse. Just keep that in mind.
