Some popular attractions and sites in St. Maarten / St. Martin to visit:
Philpsburg: The bustling capital of the Dutch side sits at the shore of Great Bay. Stroll around the colorful shops of Front Street for great shopping and exquisite restaurants. For a taste of colonial architecture, visit the Courthouse, one of the most famous monuments on the Dutch side.
Marigot: The capital of the French side St. Martin is a typical Caribbean town with gingerbread house and sidewalk bistros. Fort St. Louis, the most important building in the town, overlooks the Bay of Marigot from the top of the hill. Marigot gets busy on market days, every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
Maho Beach: If you’ve only seen only one picture of St. Martin, it was probably of Maho Beach. The sight of planes landing only a couple of meters above the head of tourists suntanning on the beach is famous all around the world. Maho Beach is a thrilling experience and a great photo opportunity!
Orient Beach: Orient Bay is another charming coastal community of the French side that is famous for its busy beach popular among both locals and tourists, offering a wide range of beach activities and water sports. The end of Orient Beach is clothing optional.
Grand Case: Grand Case a quaint little fishing village on the French side that features one of the most pristine beaches of the island. Grand Case has beautiful powdery white sand, many excellent restaurants and a tranquil atmosphere.
Oyster Pond: An other popular spot for taking great photos or stop for a quick beach time.
Simpson Bay: Simpson Bay Lagoon, the largest lagoon in the Caribbean, gives home to some of the most famous mega yachts from November to June. Check out luxury vessels owned by the likes of Donald Trump, Michael Kors, U2, the late Steve Jobs, and even catch a glimpse of the world’s top models sunbathing onboard Victoria Secret's "Limitless" mega yacht. The Eclipse mega yacht, which used to be the most expensive yacht in the world, is too large to enter the lagoon. It usually anchors in the ocean.
Cruise ship passengers: The meeting point is at the EDC Sand Parking Lot inside the cruise ship terminal. After disembarking your ship, walk to the middle of the pier. Passing by the black statue of Claude Wathey you will find the Welcome Center and Information Booth. Ask here for the EDC Sand Parking Lot and the receptionist will guide you to it. Arriving at the EDC Sand Parking lot, your local representative will be holding a Noel Tour sign. We ask all guests to be at the designated departure location at least ten minutes before departure time. Late arrivals may miss their tour and will have to pay for their own transportation.
Hotel guests: The tour starts with a pick up at your hotel or villa. We will advise exact pick up time after reservation.
