Description

The 6.5-hour Santino Snorkel and Beach Speedboat Excursion takes you along St Maarten's coastline for swimming, snorkeling and beaching at an unbeatable price. The tour goes to many locations around the island. We will create the exact itinerary on the day of the tour based on current weather and sea conditions, as well as your preferences.

Meet your crew at our office in Simpson Bay (Pelican) and board the Santino speedboat. Enjoy the spectacular views of St. Maarten as we cruise towards our first stop, Creole Rock. Snorkel in the heart of the French Nature Reserve and meet the colorful inhabitants of the reef.

We will cruise over to Tinatamarre Island where you will most likely get to swim with turtles. Swim to shore and enjoy the beautiful beach, observe the slave walls or discover the ruins of an airstrip used during World War II.

Once everybody is back on board, we will cruise over to Pinel, a pristine little island popular among locals. It has the most beautiful shallow beach and an iguana farm.

The Santino tour does not include lunch but you are more than welcome to bring your own food. We can also stop at the famous Lolo's BBQ shack in Grand Case where you can buy lunch.

April to October we can usually head the whole way around St Maarten, enjoying many stops along the way. When the Christmas winds pick up we are sometimes unable to pass over the north side due to big seas. Our schedule would then be on the west side of the island. Captain Roy and Jahmarley are your crew for the day, and they know all the best places.

My friend and I went on the Santino Around the Island Cruise and we had a blast. The crew Roy and Juliet were the best. Drinks was free and the boat and they went out of their way to ensure your cup stayed full. They were very knowledgeable about the island.

We stop at reef to do some snorkeling at Creole Rock and then went to lunch in Grand Case (Extra Cost). We then went to Tintamarre island and did some more snorkeling. I saw at least four different sea turtles, a 1 meter barracuda and a large ray. We then went to Pinel Island for swimming and shopping.

Overall the trip was perfect. This was due in a large part to the crew and the weather was also great too.

Took the Santino from Little Bay around St Maarten/St Martin. Great day for adults and kids alike. Delicious rum punch (drinks were included), snorkeling, got to see celebrity houses, lunch on the French side, swimming with the sea turtles, and a stop at Pinel Island... all in one day (9:30-4)!! They were so great with the kids, they let them steer the boat, and danced with them as we cruised around. Amazing day, I'd highly recommend it!!

We did that tour already several times and we think it´s time letting people know about this wonderful SXM experience. With about 20 persons onboard it´s relatively informal trip. The staff around Captain Roy always gives us a warm welcome. During the whole trip they pay attention on everybodys personal preferences. Thumbs up.

We took the Santino out of Divi Little Bay Resort for the Round the Island Cruise. This was a great way to see multiple beaches, do some snorkeling, lunch at a Lolo, and see Pinel Island. Franco kept us well hydrated the entire day and was very helpful with the snorkeling equipment. A GREAT value for the experience! We had a wonderful time.

Quite possibly the best value for a snorkeling excursion I have ever taken. ( We have been on at least a dozen for a relative comparison scenario, numerous Caribbean and Hawaiian excursions) We completely circled the island, with four water stops and a lunch stop - along with an open bar the entire time. The folks at Aqua Mania were extremely professional and helpful in the reservation process. We boarded our excursion at Divi Resorts/Little Bay and the staff there went above and beyond normal customer service. Our 2 man crew (Roy and Jolly Roger) were superb. We stopped first at Long Bay (home of the rich and famous) to just “noodle” in the water. Then we headed to Creole Rock to snorkel. The fish were amazing, with easy waves too. After that we went to Tintemarre Island where we swam with the sea turtles!!! That was an incredible experience, and the best part of the excursion. From there we went to Grand Case for lunch (for the BYO part of the "cruise"). The barbecue was very good and not too expensive. After that we stopped at Pinel Island where we waded in from the boat. It was peaceful. From there the boat raced back to Divi, which really added to the ocean spray in our face, but that made it all the more fun! We almost decided to go again, but it rained the morning we had availability to go (for a second time). We had three adults in our party and we ALL raved about this experience. I would highly recommend it

From the brochure I was expecting a calm boat ride to various snorkel/beach stops... about 2+ hours are more like a constant Congo River Rapids ride. You will be completely soaked most of the time. I would have packed differently although they do give you plastic bags for your belongings.

First stop, after about an hour and a half, is Creole Rock where you jump off and see traditional Caribbean bright fish.

Second is the lolos for lunch at Grand Case, where you are dispersed as a group for efficiency.

Third is Tintemarre where we saw turtles pulling up, and some in the group saw them snorkeling, but others did not. Not as plentiful as I had in my head.

Fourth is Pinel Island, which was a really nice beach, but you jump into the water about chest to waist high to exit the boat. There are tons of iguanas to feed on the island. One of the restaurants was nice and gave me some lettuce but it would be good if the tour provided some, or even just told you to bring some as that's the main draw of the brief stop.

It leaves Tuesday and Wednesday from Divi Little Bay and Thursday and Friday from Simpson Bay. It was from 10-4 for 75$.

We booked Santino for an island tour. The price of $75 is amazing value. We stopped at 5+ beaches/islands to swim and chill. Between Captain Roy and OB were delightful hosts—fun but safe and giving an extra 10% effort to be sure everyone had the best time. Fabulous, casual lunch in Grand Case. St Maarten is back!! And Aqua Mania has so many options to Explore the island.

We had an amazing trip on the Santino. Capt Roy and First Mate Juliet were a great team and provided us with lots of drinks, a bunch of island information and a ton of fun. The soundtrack for the trip was top notch and had us rocking out the whole day. The stops for swimming and snorkeling were full of sea life and incredible views for many remote islands. The stop for lunch at the lolos in Grand-Case was quite yummy and affordable. We will definitely recommend this trip to others as well as rebook on our next trip to St. Martin. Thanks for a amazing day.

We booked this all day snorkeling/island tour for $75 pp. The boat picked us at from the dock at Divi Little Bay resort. It was an enjoyable day but you should know what to expect. The tour makes four stops: A 35-minute stop at Creole Rock, a protected area, for snorkeling; a one-hour lunch stop at Grand Case; a 35-minute stop at the absolutely stunning Tintemarre beach to "swim with the turtles" (only one turtle was spotted by everyone on our tour); and finally, a 30-minute stop at the very crowded Pinnell Island (for swimming only, no snorkeling.) Our "crew", Captain Roy and First Mate Juliet were friendly, informative and made sure the passengers were well "hydrated" (complimentary rum drinks, soft drinks and juice are served throughout the tour.)

It is important to realize that during the 6-hour tour, only an hour and half are actually spent at snorkeling/swimming sites. Most of the trip is spent on the boat. This trip is definitely NOT for the queasy or seasick! The boat ride was very rocky and choppy at times, especially during the last leg of the trip. I was disappointed in the lunch stop. You are basically herded into one restaurant and discouraged from venturing off on your own in the interest of time. The boat stops at an area that is lined with shacks all selling fresh off the grill BBQ. It also happens to be along a gorgeous stretch of beach. I would have enjoyed the lunch stop more if we had been able to wander a bit and choose where we wanted to eat. The itinerary of this tour could be greatly improved by eliminating the stop in Pinnell Island and spending more time at either Grand Case or Tintemarre.

Overall, this is a worthwhile tour if you just want to get out on the water and see other parts of the island. If you're expecting to get in a lot of snorkeling or beach time, you might be disappointed.

Left the Divi Resort at 10AM for a wonderful fun-filled day. Captain Roy and Juliette were a perfect team, with great senses of humor. The drinks flowed as much (or as little) as we wanted. It was really neat to see all of St. Maarten from the ocean. The snorkeling was wonderful. We saw 4-5 turtles and a ray at Tintamarre, and lots of fish at Creole Rock. The entire experience was a memorable one. The only caveat worth mentioning is that the ride in the boat can feel like a log flume at an amusement park (lots of bouncing and you get wet), but that added to the atmosphere from our point of view. Although you can bring your own lunch, it was easier (and quite affordable) to get ribs at the shacks at Grand Case where we took a 1-hour lunch break.
