Description

Start your tour with a pick up at your hotel or the cruise ship terminal between 8:15 and 9:00 am. Exact check-in time will be advised after reservation. Round trip transfer is available from most major hotels but if you stay in a remote area, you will have to come to a certain pick up location closest to you.


Visit the famous Hato Caves, a historic monument born out of the sea. During this part of the tour, your guide explains the formation of the deep caves thousands of years ago and how the stalagmites and stalactites were formed. During this expedition in the amazing caves, you will discover the wonders of nature and also learn about the history of Curacao and how the runaway slaves used the cave to hide.


Our second stop will be the Ostrich Farm where you will get to know the biggest birds on Earth. Join us on this educational and interactive tour that gives the unique opportunity to feed the ostriches with bare hands. Learn the development from egg to adult bird and experience this wonderful reptile-a-like creature. Once at the farm, you aboard a safari jeep with an expert guide to hear all about the ostriches.


You will learn the difference between the black and gray colored animals, the reddish flame on their peeks, how fast they can run, how far they can see and more. You will encounter other exotic animals at the farm such as potbellied pigs, monkeys, crocodiles, parrots and emus.


At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your accommodation by 3:00 pm.

    Hotel and villa guests: We offer round trip transfer from most major hotels. If you stay in a villa or at a remote hotel, you will have to come to the nearest place where we pick up.


    Cruise ship passengers: There are two cruise terminals, the lager cruise terminal is called MegaPier and the other terminal is the Matheywerf / Motetwerf. If your ship docks at the MegaPier, your tour departs from outside the entrance of the Renaissance Hotel, which is a short walk from the ship. Upon debarking the ship, please head to the main gate and walk towards the Renaissance Hotel (this is the colorful building). Take a left before the building and before crossing the road to the Starbucks, make a right. You will get to the entrance of the hotel. Please wait outside, in front of the hotel lobby/casino entrance. Your guide will be at the meeting location wearing a yellow polo. 


    If your ship docks at the Matheywerf / Motetwerf, upon debarkation, please head towards the barrier. Your tour departs from just outside of the barrier (security booth). The guide will be at the meeting location wearing a yellow polo.

    During my trip to curaçao, I took the Hato Caves and Ostrich Farm Tour with Yellow Adventures Day Tours. This tour was easy to book as there was a stand right in the lobby of the Hilton. This is also where the bus picked me up and dropped me off. The driver seemed very knowledgeable about the history and background of the island, and I enjoyed listening to how curaçao developed into the country it is today. The Hato caves were the first stop on the itinerary. They were beautiful to see, and very much a unique aspect of the island. The next stop was the ostrich farm. During this we were loaded onto a (slightly overcrowded) jeep and taken throughout the various enclosures. There were tons of animals beyond just the ostriches. Overall, the half day tour was an interesting way to spend a morning. I didn't have any majors issues using Yellow Tours.

    First off let me thank Mark for two great ours on August 1st which was the island tour with my wife and son and fiance' and other son and his girlfriend. It was such a very informative tour and mark made it so much fun. Then on August 2nd we had mark again on a tour of the hato caves and ostrich farm tour. Both were equally great tours and again mark was a great guide as was the guides at both hate caves and ostrich farm. Would recommend Yellow Adventures to anyone visiting Curacao.

    My family and I just came back from our family vacation to Curacao fromJuly 14th - July 20th. We used Yellow Tourism for all of our tours that we did not use our rental car to drive or walk to. We used the services of Yellow Toursim for our tours - The Complete Curacao Island Tour- East and West and the Hato Caves and Ostrich Farm tour. Prior to arriving I was kept in constant contact via email of confirmation and when a change of date had to be made. I appreciated this communication and professionalism. In addition, upon arriving to Curacao and for the two tours/two different days we had our Bus Tour Guide Ali he was very knowledgeable, professional, sociable and adding humor to the bus ride and tour which was an added plus. The tours were great! I would highly recommend Yellow Tourism and hopefully if you use them, you will get the excellent tour bus/guide Ali.
