Description
You will be picked up between 6 and 7 am at your hotel in Punta Cana, Bavaro or Uvero Alto before your full day trip to El Limon and Bacardi Island starts. Ride on a comfortable bus for roughly an hour to the town of Las Cañitas, passing through the countryside and along the coast as you go.
Upon arrival at your destination, board a catamaran for a 30-minute ride to Samaná. Restrooms, soda, and unlimited rum are available during this boat ride. When you arrive in Samaná, jump on a safari truck and drive to a 2,100-foot high mountain top (640 meters), followed by a 30-minute horseback ride through coffee and cocoa farms en route to El Limón waterfall.
Eat lunch at the falls and enjoy the view. Then head back down to Samaná and over to Cayo Levantado (also called Bacardi Island), where you can swim and relax for 90 minutes before we head back to your hotel.

Limon Waterfall and Bacardi Island
It’s amazing how this company can coordinate such an adventure with all their guests and different points of logistics. Their service is top notch and they always have Safety as a priority. Guests are picked up by a bus at their hotel, taken to a larger tour bus which you will board and then proceed to the northern section of the island. From there you board a boat which takes you on an hour long ride across the water to another day island. You then transfer to an open air bus that takes you through the beautiful towns making its way up to the mountains. The sites in the jungle are magnificent and the locals are so friendly. You then proceed on foot to the waterfall lagoon where you can swim and take pictures. The view of the waterfall is like something from the movies. Never have I seen such a beautiful site.
Later that day you are given a complimentary meal with some of the DRs native dishes (purely delicious).
After the meal your taken by boat to Bacardi Island, the water here is a deep blue, the sand white and warm. The island is beautiful and your allowed a short stay to swim, have a drink and take more pictures.
The entire day is an adventure and it’s an experience my daughters and I will never forget. You spend the entire day on this adventure so make sure you bring comfortable footwear, sun screen and tip money.
The company is highly recommended for all your excursion needs!!!

A nice day despite the fact that we were picked up at 06.50 instead of 06.10. Our tickets said 06.10 and the person whose number was on the tickets did not respond. It turned out that it had not been reported that it would be 06.50 instead of 06.10. The trip itself was a lot of fun to do with Monchi as a guide. EL Limon waterfall
This was our first time to Punta Cana , Dominican republic. We selected this excursion since it included so much in one day. We wanted to experience as much as we could on our honeymoon. We were picked up at 7am from our resort , driven to the Hard Rock resort transferred to another bus that included people from the surrounding resorts . There we met our driver Billy and tour guide Nacho . Billy made sure we all felt welcome and like family during the entire day , with his friendly and contagious laughter . We took about a 2 hour bus ride though the country side were we made a stop at the local store we're it is recommended to buy souvenirs there since the money goes directly to the locals . They will offer you deal the more you buy . When you get off the bus you are offered either a small cup of coffee, hot coco or mama juana ( a local specialty drink made either with rum or sometimes red wine).Reviewed by brianna R on June 02, 2019
After this stop you continue until you reach a small Beach town where you take a short ferry ride to samana. During this time you are offered unlimited rum and beverages. Once the boar arrived you take a safari truck ride up the mountain. Upon your arrival you take a horse ride down the mountain guide by a tour . Along the way you get to experience the beautiful nature around you, you do have to walk down stairs to get to the waterfall . Once there there will be guys walking around with native birds you may take photos with (they have professional cameras but you can have your guide take them on your phone.) You get free time to explore the waterfall and swim.They will take photos for you but remember you will have to pay for the USB or dvd at the end . I would recommend carrying about 70-100 cash in USD if you are able for the whole day. They depend heavily on tips and are greatly appreciated, which they work hard to ear.
After walking and talking your horse ride back you are offered a lunch buffet with local dishes. After taking the ride back down the mountain you board the boat to go to barcardi island which you get to relax or explore for the hour and a half. Again the boat rides offer unlimited drinks so take advantage. After the boat ride back to the other side of the island you begin your trip back . I've never seen so many grown ups passed out , it was quite a day of adventure. You still get to stop at the local shop on the way back so I'd you want to purchase anything and not want to carry it around tell them to save it for you. Note that if you are staying in punta Cana you have about a 45 minutes drive back from the meeting point . It is about a 10 hour day so tip the driver and tour guide well ! Request Nacho and Billy !! They made the trip . Overall we had a great time, the people are very welcoming and as they said enjoy your self family no one knows you here your on Vacation!!

we signed up for the El Limon & Cayo Levantado tour - yes it is a full long day, but good things come to those that wait! our travels that day included tour bus, catamaran, jeeps and horses! wonderful to see the culture of the Dominican people in Samana area, waterfall was spectacular and Cayo Levantado a picture perfect beach. Our guide Daniel Munoz was extremely helpful, patient and informative, always watching over his 'familia' as we went from place to place. I would highly recommend. A wonderful day that went off without a hitch!February 13, 2017
