Description
Your tour starts with a pick up at your hotel in Punta Cana, Bavaro and Uvero Alto. This popular tour option is perfect for religious travelers who want to see the nation's most iconic sites, or travelers who love historic architecture and design.
Our first stop will be at the largest and most important cathedral in Dominican Republic, the Basilica de la Altagracia in Higuey. You will enjoy time to wander the streets and take in daily life. You will also follow your guide to San Dionisio Church, one of the first in the New World!
A vacation is not complete until you have your mandatory hunt for local treasures. Join this tour and discover the wide variety of local arts and crafts the Dominican Republic has to offer. Take a walk on the main street and observe the day to day activity in the city; the cafeterias, the shoe shiners and the fruit stalls with their vendors.

Something different to try
If you've been to the DR before and you want to try something a little different, this is perfect. If you are catholic or just really enjoy old religious relics, this is perfect. If you want to see some beautiful scenery outside of your hotel/resort, this is perfect. The cathedral was beautiful and the attached museum had some really awesome pieces. The market is cool to walk through (but you will definitely feel like a tourist). My favorite part was driving into the mountains for the cigar demonstration. Diver and guide were good though they were a bit late but we had their colleagues who came for a different tour pick up keep us company. Nice tour different from previous tours I have been on.
