After a pick up at your hotel in Punta Cana, Bavaro or Uvero Alto, we will drive you through the scenic countryside of the Dominican Republic. We will visit two national parks, the La Cueva de la Linea Nature Reserve and the Los Haitises National Park.
You will board a speedboat at Sabana de la Mar that will take you through an incredible mangrove forest. You will visit a stunning nature reserve known as La Cueva de la Línea with incredible formations of petroglyphs left behind by the indians centuries ago.
We will take a walking tour and explore Los Haitises National Park: a Caribbean oasis which is home to untouched mangrove forests, Taino cave drawings, secluded beaches, pirate hideouts and a grand diversity of endemic flora and fauna. This park is a nature reserve and sanctuary for many species of birds and sea life, some of which are endemic of Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. Please note that only a portion of the park in open to the public.
Upon completion of your walk, you will enjoy a traditional Dominican lunch in Caño Hondo, where you will have free time to relax in the most beautiful natural pools, before heading back to your hotel.
