Description
Check in at our office in Plaza Bibijagua, or enjoy a complimentary pick up at your hotel, villa or the cruise ship terminal in Punta Cana or Cap Cana. We offer round trip transfer from Uvero Alto, Bavaro, Punta Cana and Cap Cana, by an air conditioned, comfortable vehicle. Exact pick up time will be advised after reservation.
Board our 44 ft double-decker catamaran, the Happy Fish I, and make yourself comfortable. This boat is suitable for 72 passengers, but we limit the passengers to 27 people, so we can provide maximum comfort and personal attention. Once all of our new friends are on board, we will leave the land and cruise along the coast, through the most dazzling sites of the region.
Our first stop is in a beautiful natural reserve, the Cabeza de Toro reef. It is one of the best reefs in the area and a brilliant place to snorkel. Our competent and amazing guide will help you out. You will feel like a pro even if you are not an experienced snorkeler. There is so much to do, swim, snorkel and have fun sliding into the water from our catamaran on our slide toboggan.
After a great time in the water, we will head to our second stop to visit a natural pool. We will anchor in a beautiful sand bar with waist deep, crystal clear water with our exclusive floating bar. Just lean back, relax or enjoy a refreshing swim around, and let us pamper you with delicious drinks. You can also try paddle boarding in the shallow water.
Our floating open bar offers light and regular beer, premium aged rum and white rum, vodka, tequila, and of course non-alcoholic tropical juices, and soft drinks. On board you can also enjoy nachos and salsa, and of course fresh fruits of the season.
After a wonderful time on the water, we will return to our departure point where your shuttle will be waiting for you to bring you back to your hotel, villa or the cruise ship terminal.

Excellent Snorkel Tour!
We chose Happy Fish Catamarans for our snorkel tour on this visit and were not disappointed! Service was top notch, our guides made sure we saw as many fish as possible, and the stop at the Natural Pool was enjoyable and refreshing. Despite what others have said about snorkeling on the east side of the island, we found a good variety of fish at the reef off of Cabeza de Toro Beach, including Angel fish, Tangs, Pencil fish, a Sting Ray, Grunts, and Bannerfish. The small group size guaranteed personal attention, and our guide made sure that each member of the group was also able to witness them feeding the fish, creating a flurry of activity around us and the guide. As other reviews for this and other snorkel tours in this area have mentioned, the Natural Pool gets crowded. We found that this tour, which leaves earlier than other similar tours, gets to the natural pool first giving us about a half hour in the water before the rest of the tours start to pull in. After snorkeling, chips and salsa were served and the floating bar at the natural pool also had fresh pineapple and mango, in addition to the usual alcoholic offerings (beer, mixed drinks, and "The Happy Fish" which was excellent.) One word of caution, the slide was fast and fun, but the water at the Natural Pool is shallow (4 feet or so) so you can hit the bottom if you are not careful. Fun day out!
We had a great time on this excursion. I love snorkeling and it was nice to get out on the boat for the day and do it. They were feeding the fish which made there be hundreds of fish swimming along with us. At first it was really freaky but eventually I got used to it and it was pretty cool. Sailing on the boat on the ocean was fun, the slide was awesome, and the bar was great! The transportation to and from this was not my favorite. We went in the afternoon which got us back to shore and the car right around sundown and there were people everywhere trying to sell us things. My boyfriend and I only brought cash for tips and had none to spare, so we couldn't buy anything and people were still pushing for us to shop. The other group we were in the rideshare with wanted to shop so we were there for about 10 minutes. Everything ended up being fine but it was an uncomfortable 10 minutes with several people just staring at us. I speak Spanish and I heard 2 people talking about us and referring to me as "puta" which was uncomfortable. After 10 minutes our driver told the other group it was time to leave and got us all back to our resort safely.
I would absolutely still go on this excursion again. It was my favorite part of the trip to Punta Cana. The guys working on the boat were super fun and we really had a great half day.
Great service made for a carefree trip
I organized a group of nine girls for a four-hour catamaran trip on the semi-private Guara tour. We were really impressed by the level of customer service provided leading up to and during our trip. Booking with Hermes was very easy. We were picked up from our Airbnb and driven to the dock to meet our crew - Domingo, Omar, and Crispy. The crew was great! Half day snorkelling and swimming.
Thank you Frankie and Omar for a wonderful four hour cruise. You were so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the music. The snacks, the drinks and the snorkelling and swimming. The crew were awesome people and so friendly and helpful. We had a long catamaran ride down the coast and snorkeled on a beautiful and full of life reef. The natural pool was waste deep and crystal clear.
Our trip only 15 or so people on a boat made for 60! If you are able to book your excursion with Happy Fish, do it! They are the best I have seen.

Highlight of our trip!!! Great for all ages
We booked the trip as a first time snorkeling experience for the kids(9-13-16) who had only snorkeled in the pool the day before. They absolutely loved it! Water was beautiful and we couldn't get them out. Lots of small fish so nothing intimidating.Reviewed by MM_Propsect on October 27, 2019
There were about15-16 folks on the Happy Fish 2(I think it was #2...it has the slide) which could have held more comfortably. Daniel, Frankie and everyone were absolutely awesome. The Happy fish cocktail was tasty and they had plenty of beer, etc options. I'd recommend this trip for either families or small groups who would also like to have some cocktails, snorkel and hang at a sand bar with all of the other boats(but not have 50-60 on the boat). They picked us up at our hotel so it couldn't have been easier. 100% doing this same trip again next time.

Amazing.
From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. The boat was great booked the one with a slide so much fun. The crew made the day even better serving great margheritas and happy fish rum cocktails music was brilliant snorkeling was great could've stayed at the sand bar all day got to do a bit of paddle boarding which was great. Snorkeling and Swimming
Went snorkeling with this company in Sept 2019. Beautiful experience . Guide was amazing, he went to the bottom while we were watching in the water and brought us sea creatures to look at then placed them back carefully. Thanks for your review, it is very positive/helpful for future travelers, we are not a full day tour and as per our descriptions we do not serve any meals, our website indicates that we serve Nachos and Salsa and fruits of the season, it is recommended to have breakfast/lunch before coming, guests are allowed to bring extra food from their hotels, we are very famous for our drinks and snacks, sorry if you did not read or just were mislead. Picking guests at different hotels is usually very easy unless traffic gets complicated, thanks for coming we really appreciate it.

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP!
We came to Punta Cana in September 2019 for a relaxing week at an all-inclusive resort. We knew we wanted to do 2 excursions, a catamaran with snorkeling was one of them. After researching the different companies, we chose Happy Fish Catamaran. We were so impressed with our excursion! We chose one of the semi-private options on the double decker catamaran (Happy Fish 1). It ended up being just my boyfriend and I and one other couple on the boat! We basically had a private catamaran all to our self! The crew of 3 was awesome and very accommodating. They never let our glasses of beer go dry and were really fun to talk to. One of the crew members snorkeled with us to show us where the best spots were and pointed out some really cool fish and coral. The resort pickup and dropoff was quick and easy as well. The best ever!
This is the best excursion I’ve done in Punta Cana. I went with my partner, we’re both women and sometimes other people can be weird about that, but we didn’t have that issue here. The crew was so sweet and helpful. We had a small group today but they got everyone up and dancing. We sailed around then we got out to go snorkeling. We got to see a ton of fish, and the coral was pretty cool too. Afterwards we stopped at a natural swimming pool, and other boats were stopped there too so it felt like a big party. The crew had a floating bar and fruits for us to have. If you’re thinking of doing this excursion, just do it! The crew really care about the ocean- they mentioned being really careful with the coral, and being sad about the dolphins and sharks that were in captivity in a facility we passed- and they care that you have a great time! Happy Fish Snorkeling Catamaran Excursion from Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana
I absolutely loved this excursion. We booked the double decker catamaran that had a slide on the top deck. We were picked up at the Dreams Palm Beach Resort at around 8 am. We were loaded onto the Happy Fish boat. The boat was not at full capacity. We had 12 people on the boat total, including us (I went with my husband and my two teenage children, ages 15 and 17). The boat had plenty of space to sit, walk around, etc. I did not feel crowded or cramped. It was perfect.
There were three people working on the boat (captain, bartender, and tour guide). Immediately, they made us feel comfortable. The tour guide spoke English to us, since all 12 vacationers on the boat were Americans. He put on fun music (Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley, etc.).
He took us for about a 30 minute boat ride before anchoring the boat for snorkeling. During the boat ride, the bar was open. With everything in the news about the U.S. tourist deaths, I was not sure if I should drink the alcohol, but I took my chances. I drank the "happy fish" rum punch. It was delicious and I did not get sick.
Once at the snorkeling destination, the slide was open for use in addition to snorkeling. The tour guide was great. He sprinkled fish food into the water to attract more fish for us to view. I enjoyed seeing the yellow fish with the black stripes on them. I am 44 years old and I even went down the slide a few times. It was great fun. The tour guide was very laid back. He let my 17 year old son do back flips off the side of the boat into the water. You did not feel rushed during the snorkeling outing. After about 30 minutes or so, he told us to all get back on the boat.
We took another 20 minute boat ride (bar was still open) to a party area. In this area, a bunch of boats were parked in the water in shallow water (about waist high). He told us to get off the boat and to have fun. He got out one paddle board and he told us to take turns if we wanted using the paddle board. He filled a floating bar with drink supplies and walked them over to us so we could have drinks in the water. He got out a nerf football and threw it to the guys so they could use it to have a catch (my 17 year old son enjoyed this). It was great fun. By this point in the trip, we were talking with all of the other people on the boat with us, and we were having lots of fun. Next, he brought out a tray of fresh fruit and walked it over to us in the water for us to enjoy.
After about a half hour or so of this, we got back on the boat to head back to dock. During this part of the boat ride, they set-up tortilla chips and salsa. The boy preparing the snacks wore disposable gloves while he was getting everything ready, so I felt that all of the food was clean and safe to eat.
I loved this trip for a few reasons. Mainly, the boat was not too crowded, all of the people on our boat were loads of fun, the tour guide spoke English (his name was Daniel) and he did not make us feel rushed, the drinks were great, and the music put you in a happy mood.
Great experience!
We rented out the boat for our group of 15 people. We really appreciated how the crew made sure the kids were safe the whole time. Everyone had an amazing time snorkeling, going down the slide/jumping off the ship, and hanging out in the natural pool. The crew was very kind, we had Domingo as the guide. Highlight of our vacation
This was an absolutely perfect excursion. Twelve family members, ages 9 to 72 all went together and everyone agreed this was a terrific experience.
