The Dutch island of Saba is a refreshing change from the cosmopolitan hustle and bustle that St. Maarten and St. Barts provide. Named the “Unspoiled Queen” she is an eco-paradise and quite the getaway for avid divers, hikers and nature enthusiasts.

Take a day trip on the Great Bay Express high-speed ferry to this mystical mountain island. Explore its untouched nature, discover its famous underwater world, and hike to the highest peak of the Dutch Kingdom. There is a spectacular view at every turn of the road. You will also find quaint shops in Windwardside that sell local crafts such as the handmade Saba Lace, Saba Spice Liqueur, hand blown glass jewelry and artwork.

Scuba Diving in Saba is world renowned. Many divers will ensure that a day trip to Saba is part of their dive vacation plan. Novice divers are encouraged to dive a few dives in St Maarten before venturing over to Saba, as the wall and pinnacle diving can be considerably deeper. Nice quick ride to St Barth. Not for the weak and people that get sea sick. I suggest that you sit in the middle section as it does get warm on the boat during the ride. People were calling Earl all over the place so if you get sea sick this is not the ride for you. I loved it felt like you were riding a big jet ski.

The vessel is clean, well handled by the captain and it's a smooth and comfortable ride. Passengers are handled in a courteous manner, the crew is informative and attentive and departures are on time. Never a worry whether it will go or when it will arrive.
