If you haven’t heard much of Aruba so far, there is one thing you need to know above all. The friendly people, gorgeous natural wonders and hidden treasures make Aruba the happiest island of the Caribbean. This little island (only 32 kms long and 10 kms wide) off the coast of Venezuela is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and belong to the so-called ABC islands. This tiny piece of paradise happens to get the least rainfall in the Southern Caribbean and – if that isn’t convincing enough already – it is also located outside the Hurricane Belt, meaning perfect weather all year round.
The island offers a variety of things to do, should you prefer a more relaxed or an active holiday. Given its small size, it can be easily explored by UTV that assures easy access to all important hidden gems as well. Some roads can get bumpy, which is why we strongly recommend an off-road vehicle. You may come across several types of UTV tours on the island that differ in length, sights and of course price. Use our guide to select the tour that suits your needs the best.
On the Eastern shore of the island lies the Arikok National Park that features a natural pool that has become a signature sight of Aruba. The water of the hole has a beautiful emerald greenish color that is very different from the deep blue of the surrounding ocean. You can float around peacefully in the pool as the water is calm while listening to the waves crashing on rocks around you. Make sure not to miss this truly unique experience!
The Arikok National Park also features some spectacular caves with massive stalactite and stalagmite formations. The Indian Cave (or Fontein Cave officially) got its nickname from the drawings of Arawak Indians on the ceilings that offers a sneak peek into the island’s historical roots. This tour combining these two thrilling adventures is available every day.
There is a 4 hour-long guided tour to the Natural Pool every day at 9 am and 2 pm. Receive some quick instructions about how to operate your personal 2 or 4 seater UTV safely and set off to a real off road adventure in the Arikok National Park. On your way back, the tour stops by the California Lighthouse as well – a signature landmark of Aruba.
The black sand of Black Stone Beach will give a refreshing twist to your holiday pictures. It is the only beach with black sand on the island, featuring some sharp and edgy rocks. The beach is rather rocky, not powdery sand and is not suitable for swimming because of the high waves, but can be a unique spot for a picnic.
Take a 4 hour-long tour to the Breathing Rocks – volcanic rocks forming a natural pool -, the Black Stone Beach, Natural Bridges and Andicuri Beach. If you’re an adrenaline junkie and would love to do some cliff jumping, this is the right tour for you. After heating up on the sun, cool off by jumping into “Boca” – the natural pool at our exclusive hidden cave.
If you don’t want to worry about missing any of the top sights of the island, opt for the ‘Discover Aruba’ tour and we’ll make sure you’ll see everything you need to see. After some safety instructions, we’ll set off to explore the Black Stone Beach, Natural Bridges, Bushiribana Gold Mills Ruins, the California Lighthouse and Arashi Beach – an ideal beach for swimming. Of course, we’ll make sure to stop at the right photo spots as well.
This 6 hour-long tour shows you those secluded spots that not many tourists get to. If you enjoy exploring the untrodden path, this is the right tour for you. Visit Frenchman's Pass, a narrow passage between coral cliffs above Spanish Lagoon, the Museum of Industry, Water Cave, Baby Beach Guadirikiri Cave and other lesser known landmarks. This tour also features the Mangel Cora Wells, a 2134 feet tunnel under the corals. We’ll make sure not to miss the Bushiribana Gold Mill ruins and the iconic California Lighthouse.
If you are more adventorous or just want to take your time, opt for an UTV rental in Aruba with 2 or 4 seater UTVs. The vehicles will be delivered to your accommodation or cruise ship terminal where you will be introduced to their operation and handling. Then it's time to dive into nature with speed and explore the unseen touristic wonders this island was made of and be a part of the most exciting vacation destination which has to offer various beautiful tourists attractions to you. Half or full day rentals are available 365 days a year.
In case the UTV tours are not your cup of the and you prefer a regular off-road experience by an all terrain vehicle, there is something for you as well. Explore Aruba's most beautiful treasures hidden far beyond the paved roads in a half-day guided quad excursion of the island and visit well-known landmarks and the famous natural pool. The ATV tour will take you through the Arikok National Park to visit the Wish Garden and Baby Natural Bridge. You will learn about Aruba's gold rush at the Bushiribana Gold Mine ruins, visit the oldest catholic church, the Alto Vista Chapel then finish the ATV excursion at the famous Natural Pool.
