Description
The North Coast Explorer Safari is one of the most popular off-road adventures. It offers visitors the opportunity to explore some of Aruba’s most exclusive sites while beholding the spectacular panoramic scenery of the island’s North Coast.
The tour starts from the moment we pick you up at your hotel or resort. You will be brought to our office, which is located only 10 minutes away from all major resorts, where you will be greeted by your tour captain.
During this 4-hour off road Jeep safari, you will visit the following spots:
Breathing Rocks: The heart beat of Aruba, made up of volcanic rocks resulting in a seasonal refreshing Natural Pool.
Black Stone Beach: Lined with small and shimmery black eroded stones, Black Stone Beach is the only beach in Aruba boasting “black sand”. Erosion by the water not only created black pebbles but also rather sharp and edgy rocks that both characterize this location. Black Stone Beach is located close to three newly forming natural bridges in Arikok National Park. The beach is quiet and secluded.
Natural Bridges: Pounding waves and strong winds have slowly chiseled away at the limestone cliffs along Aruba’s north coast to create several natural bridges. Before collapsing in 2005, the largest and most photographed of these bridges was the famous Natural Bridge between the Bushiribana gold mine ruins and Andicuri Beach. The remains of this bridge are still visible, and you can witness the adjacent intact Baby Bridge being born.
Andicuri Beach: Situated on the island’s windward coast, Andicuri Beach boasts a breathtaking and scenic setting. The wide bay is enclosed by coral-stone cliffs of which some parts provide for a little shade. Due to its perfect waves and stronger surf, various local body-boarding competitions are held here. Locals love to come here for the peace and quiet.
Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins: In 1824, gold was discovered in Aruba, and the industry produced more than 3 million pounds of gold. An English company built a gold smelter at Bushiribana in 1872, a picturesque spot near the sea that was sacred to the island's original inhabitants, the Arawak Indians.
You will get to cool off after some shaking and baking in the sun by swimming and cliff jumping at our exclusive, hidden cave and natural pool at "Boca". Your tour captain will guide you through areas on land, and under the sea, that reveal the island’s true beauty.
Ice cold water is offered throughout the tour and we will serve you a delicious Aruban hot lunch.
At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel.

I traveled to Aruba with my 2 Sister In Laws the week of Thanksgiving. I had been once before, but hadn't done a ton of sightseeing so this trip wanted to do at least one day of seeing the sites. This tour was awesome! They picked us up promptly from our resort and delivered us back after an awesome tour!! Hugo was our our guide and delivered a wealth of knowledge of the Island, history, stories, as well as letting us hear a bit of his personal stories as well. It was a 4 hour excursion including lunch as well. We set out with 2 jeeps full, to the North Coast, he showed us his neighborhood and his local soccer fields. We visited the Natural Pool over rugged off road terrain but always felt safe!! We had a good amount of time to navigate the rocks and enjoy the pool before heading out to the Cave Pool and Natural Bridge also. There was a small issue with one of the jeeps but we barely had to skip a beat. We simply switched two stops because one was closer, and by the time we finished at the cave pool another jeep was there for us and we continued on.
Hugo helped anyone needing assistance climbing or crossing rocks. We finished up with lunch at a restaurant next to their office which was awesome! BBQ chicken, rice, and great drinks to boot!!! Our tour even went over the 4 hours scheduled but never did we feel rushed or on a time limit. I would highly recommend this morning tour with lunch and would do it again! Thank you Hugo for an amazing day that i'll remember forever!

Amazing tour!!! Patrick was a very friendly guy who knew a lot about the island, the island’s history, things to do and places to go!! We visited the Natural Pool (great spot and location), a cave and the gold mines!! Everything was great! Even with all the bumpy roads the tour was great! I will definitely do the jeep tour again especially if Patrick is our host/driver for the day!

What happens when you have four couples and a great driver? Fun! And tons of laughs. Quincy did an amazing job of traversing the crazy terrain of the north coast of Aruba. He asked all of our names at the beginning of the tour - and remembered them to the end! Even gave nicknames to one couple - which started another roar of laughter. The ride through the desert, seeing the views from Breathing Rocks and the Twin (or triple as the other driver Abraham pointed out) were magnificent. Having never been to Aruba, we had no idea we would see the cacti and the rocky, dry roads. Definitely not terrain we city folk are used to and we were very glad one of our crew did not drive as originally intended. You literally have to hang on to stay in the jeep up some of the tougher hills. But we always had confidence in Quincy. Two of our group decided to swim in the natural pool within some caves. Not a swim for everyone as it was hard to traverse the coral rocks. And we all enjoyed the final swim in the beautiful waters on the southern shore.
The luncheon served back at the ABC building was delicious and more than we expected. The chicken was cooked perfectly (and it's not only a leg, but a generous leg and thigh). Those who went for the upgrade of a burger said it was very good too.
Sneakers and sunscreen are absolute necessities. The terrain is dangerously unstable and a couple of our group took falls or were nicked by the sharp coral. The tour guides provide water, so no need to bring extra baggage for that. The four hour tour was 6 hours total from hotel pick up to drop off. Definitely a long time, so a snack in your pack might help.
A fun day for everyone and one we would recommend to understand the varying terrains and areas of this beautiful island. Shout out to Ivman too for helping us during the day! A dedicated trio of tour guides!

Our group of 7 people spanned ages 3 - 58 and we all had the time of our lives!! Our tour guide was Big G and Crazy Joe drove the other group. Safety was their top priority but it didn’t hamper their ability to educate and entertain. Arubans are justifiably proud of their island. It was a day of edutainment. My 3 yr old granddaughter squealed with delight as the Jeep bumped along the road in the Natural Park. Big G told me he was worried at first she was crying but when he heard her laughter, it made him happy too.
My son had taken the tour last year and recommended it for our group. It was so wonderful to get off the hotel property and experience the island!!
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour and hope your drivers/guides make your day as special as Big G and Crazy Joe made ours!

We (hubby, son and I) had the BEST TIME. We did so much in so little time. The guides were wonderful. Louise was our driver and while he looked to be about 15 (LOL, he was 21) he was an excellent driver. The tour was very informative.
You have to be prepared to be bounced around. They don't always stick to the road. I also wish I would have brought bandannas, it did get dusty. We got about an hour at the beach - just enough to get the dust off. One woman in the group didn't realize were we going to a beach but got in the water clothes and all. It was really hot. She was dry by the time we got back to the ship.
Was shocked to see it is a desert environment.
We don't normally go tours through the ship but was really glad I picked this one. Friends on the ship (another couple) picked it last minute so we shared a jeep - each holds 8. She has a hip issue so didn't get out at some of the points but still had a great time just riding and watching my husbands reaction to the ride. We had a blast - I would do it again if we return.

We did the Cave Pool & North Coast Explorer jeep tour which is a half day tour. We ended up being the only people doing that route that day so basically had a private tour which was great!! It was so interesting to see the other side of the island and learn more about Aruba. The highlight was definitely the cave pool where we went swimming and jumped off a small cliff - scary but FUN!!

This was the best excusion I have ever done on an island. We had a blast. Off roading was amazing the sites were great, we saw more than was expected and went over the time that we were expected to be back. I would recommend that everyone take this trip and that you ask for Rockey when you do it!

The experience was one of the funniest things me and my family have every done worth every penny. Our guide/driver Patrick was the best you need to ask for him we will when we go back. The drivers in the other vehicles were great also they have a blast at there jobs again this is a must do my 7 and 9 year olds kept talking about this experience days after we returned again thanks again Andrew for letting us experience this and thank you Patrick

This excursion exceeded all expectations! This was our first trip to Aruba and it was a great way to see so many different parts of the island that we would have not experienced otherwise. Our tour guides Hugo and Jonathan were amazing! They were both very knowledgeable and lead the tour with great enthusiasm. This is a must do if you're planning a trip.

We went on the afternoon trip. I have 4 kids between 10 and 17 years old. The 10 year old was a little apprehensive about the bumpy ride at first, but he got over it quickly. Ralphy and Harley gave an amazing tour. We saw sights that were almost too beautiful to be true. Our whole family cliff jumped at the natural pool. This tour was a highlight of our vacation and I would recommend it!
