UTV Rental in Aruba: 2 or 4-seaterprivate

We didn’t take the tour because we have been around the island a few times before. Instead, we rented a 4 seater UTV. It was an awesome experience with the breeze blowing. We didn’t get hot!! The UTV handled all the rough roads. We had an awesome experience!!

Rented two ATV’s and a UTV from these guys. They dropped them off at our resort which was great, able to hop on and get out to explore the Island. Devon was great in showing us how to use the machines and gave suggestions on where to go. Machines were in good shape and ran well. Great experience for the family. Would definitely rent from them again.

Family rented 2 UTV's to explore the island (back side) Natrual Pools on our own. Fortunately was traveling with someone who knows the island very well. They were great, brought the rentals to our hotel Riu and we had a blast. Returned them in 4 hours! We booked with Alex! who was great!!!!

We were recommended to this company by our hotel, and they did NOT disappoint! Amazing experience! We initially wanted to do the half day (4 hour) rental, but were encouraged by both the hotel and the Around Aruba staff to do the 8 hour full day rental. (It was only $40 more to do the full day, so definitely worth it.)

We ended up doing the 8 hour, and thank goodness we did - it was so much fun! We pretty much circled the entire island at our own pace, checking out the lighthouse, the Alto Vista chapel, Wariruri beach, Bushiribana gold mill ruins, Arikok National Park (including Conchi (natural pool) and Fontein cave), and then took the UTVs down to Zeerover's in Savaneta, before heading back to our hotel in Palm Beach.

If you only do one thing during your time in Aruba, make sure you do a UTV trip with Around Aruba (either a tour, or a self-guided trip like ours).

The UTVs were in great condition, and the staff was super helpful, informative, and funny. (When he showed up to our hotel, he jokingly tried to convince our party of 14 that we had mistakenly signed up for sky-diving!)

We decided to do an 8-hour UTV rental instead of one of the guided tours. Loved it! They dropped it off at our hotel, then picked it up 8 hours later. In Aruba, you can drive ATV/UTV on the roads, so we went to Arikok, natural pool, caves, Baby Beach and more. Was so nice to be able to see all of Arikok in one day and some other sites too. Plus we loved being able to put a cooler and backpacks in the back. We would definitely recommend--very friendly company and a great way to see many of the island's natural wonders in one day.

If you're not a "tour" type person (or family). If you don't have the patience to wait for every person to find their way back to the bus (someone is always missing). If you are the adventurous explorer type who wants to feel the wind in your face... Then you may want to consider renting an all terrain 4X4 vehicle to explore Aruba on your own. A UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) gives you the opportunity to explore some of the not so easily accessible areas of the island, like Arikok National Park (cars are only allowed up to a certain point, see Boca Prins reviews). They come in 2 and 4 (6 seaters are coming) models. They drive like golf carts on steroids, and are street legal. Our UTV came equipped with a Power Port for charging a cellphone (Google Maps works just fine in Aruba...but you may want to bring a papermap). Side note: nav you way to Main Entrance at Arikok, not the landmarks (Natural Pool, Caves, Hills...), then use a paper map and the trail markers.
I rented a 4 seater from Aroundarubatours.com. The process is incredibly easy and can be done at home before you go, or from your smartphone in Aruba. The UTV was delivered right to my hotel with a full tank of gas. And after a safety briefing, signing of contracts ($200 refundable cash deposit), additional warnings, off limits areas, and an explanation of how to operate the vehicle we were off.
The UTV was fairly simple to operate in automatic mode.. You're going to have to get used to the lack of mirrors (and turn signals). Aruba motorists are incredibly patient and polite, however the rules of the road still apply. It helps to learn the road signs before you go, and learn how to navigate roundabouts (some are very complex, with multiple lanes). Go slow and steady when traversing the trails in Arikok. There are some "wheel eater" rocks waiting to pierce the toughest of tires.
Surprisingly after having driven the UTV for 8 hours, on streets, dirt roads, main roads, up hill, down hill, 2 wheel, 4 wheel drive, and ridiculous off road conditions (to the Natural Pool) we still had an almost full tank. I put in $5 US just to be safe (and courteous). The UTV was cheerfully picked up by Alejandro at our hotel. I complimented the UTV experience, pointed out a few areas that could be improved...mirrors), got back my deposit, and said farewell to Wilma. Yes, we named our UTV Wilma (after Fred Flintstones wife).
This was truly a vacation highlight, and would definitely rent from Around Aruba again.
Additional notes: Have Cash (for deposit) and a Credit Card, bring a papermap (the free ones are fine), you will need a valid drivers license (U.S. is accepted in Aruba), don't forget a Power Port USB Adaptor to charge a cellphone, bring water, food, SUNBLOCK, beach towels, and bandanas to cover your nose and mouth from dust.

We rented the UTV for the day and were very happy with the vehicle and the service. This was an essential day trip to get the full view of Aruba. My only suggestion is to clarify the rules on where these can drive as we got a little scared driving them on the main roads but we were told it is fine by the locals.
