Description

Meet Pieter, your captain on the dock behind Nowhere Special restaurant in Simpson Bay at 9:30 am. He will drive you to the trimaran in a dinghy and help you board the boat. After a quick introduction, find yourself the perfect seat and get ready for a 5-hour sail around the South West coast of St. Maarten / St. Martin. This tour takes maximum 12 people so there will be ample space in the cockpit or on the trampolines to lounge, and you can enjoy the crew's outmost attention.

We will sail along the mile long Simpson Bay beach and pass by the famous Maho Beach where we might be able to spot some large passengers planes landing (not guaranteed). Then we will continue the journey passing by the beautiful Mullet Bay and Long Bay where the islands most luxurious villas to be found! Find out from the captain which celebrities own the houses along the shore. Treat yourself to some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from the open bar and mingle with the crew and your fellow passengers.

You are welcome to help out the captain and learn some tricks about sailing throughout the journey. Enjoy the panoramic views of Plum Bay, Bay Rouge and Marigot, the capital of the French side overlooked by the centuries old Fort St. Louis. The music accompanying you is the wind in the sail and water against the hull as everything is done by sail, guaranteed!

We will anchor the boat in a calm bay where you will get to swim and snorkel or you can stay on board and work on your tan. The boat is equipped with an aluminium ladder on the stern for easy access and we provide snorkel gear with floating aids for your convenience.

We will serve a sandwich lunch with tropical fruits on board before we start our sail back towards Philipsburg. Gluten and lactose free food is available if requested in advance. We will reach our departure point by 3:00 pm where you will be taken back to shore by dinghy.

    Perfect Experience
I highly recommend No1SXM. We just sailed them two weeks ago and then recommended them to everyone we met. They’re very easy to communicate with, priced reasonably and only take 12 passengers max. Food was delicious and drinks were plentiful. Having vacationed in SXM for many years, we were looking for something more laid back and private and Pieter and Miriam delivered on every point. We’ll definitely do this again next year.

    dream come true
This was something I had wanted to do for so long. I checked on this activity at every island we visited. It was either unaffordable or we had to do it with 40 other people. The trimaran was the high light of our trip. Mariam and Peter are wonderful, kind, friendly and polite. The sandwiches that Mariam made were delicious.
I could have not asked for a better way to spend a day @ sea.

Great Day Sail with Pieter and Miriam!
Had a great day sailing with Pieter and Miriam April 29. They formerly sailed Passaat which unfortunately is now at the bottom of the ocean thanks to Hurricane Irene. But their new boat, a trimiran, is even better than Passaat. Trip started at the bar Nowehere Special by the Simpson Bay bridge where we were ferried out to the boat. Then we sailed past La Sammana and then back to La Sammana for sandwiches prepared by Miriam, fruit and a swim. Then we sailed back almost to Philipsburg, then back to Simpson Bay. Total sail was 5 hours. We had a great time and loved the new boat. Other than using the engine for docking, entire day was under sail which is unusual for boats we have been on. I can't imagine there is a better boat to spend the day on in St Maarten!

    Outstanding Catamaran Outing
Our grouped booked with Mirian & Pieter 2 years ago on the wonderful Passaat. So after their tragedy with the hurricane, we were happy to book on their new No1 SXM. It was a wonderful ride! They are so knowledgeable about sailing, the area, and the people that live there. We avoid the BIG tour groups and this was just right for our group!
We enjoyed the food and drink they provided, but we mostly enjoyed visiting with these folks!

Another fantastic day with this couple.
We have sailed quite a few times with Pieter and Miriam in the past but this was the first time on their new trimaran. As usual the day was so relaxing, the food wonderful and the company fantastic. I love that they only take small groups and Pieter and Miriam are so knowledgeable about the island and great tour guides. If you like quiet sailing on the sea a nice stop to snorkel and have lunch, this sail would be highly recommended.

    Something to treat yourself to!
The three of us decided to do the sail with Pieter and Mirian after Mirian promised there would be no loud music, just the sound of the ocean. We had a lovely 5 hour sail along the coast of St Maarten with a stop for a yummy lunch, great rum punxh and a swim/snorkel. Pieter and Mirian were fabulous, welcoming hosts and we loved the fact that there were a limited number of people on board so we could chat with the other guests and the hosts. Even a wonderful boat dog! Most favorite thing on an already wonderful vacation!

    Best day of our cruise
We chose to do this trip as an excursion from our cruise ship, we did not regret it! We had a group of 12 that included 6 kids and everyone had an amazing time. We booked a 3 hour tour and sailed out to a beautiful private spot and were able to snorkel and go to the beach. Price was fantastic and a much more enjoyable purchase than cramming in to a tiny boat with 100 other cruise ship passengers. I would recommend them to anyone. Wonderful couple, we had a great time and if we are ever back in SXM we will be calling again!

    Relaxing Day Sail
We again enjoyed a great day of sailing on NO1SXM, the only Tri-hull in St. Maarten. We always enjoy sailing with Pieter and Mirian, as they are so nice and they actually sail, which I enjoy as it is so peaceful. They only take 12 max on board, so no large crowds. Food and drinks are always great, so don’t wait any longer
