This half-day excursion will leave you educated on Aruba’s history and culture. Our professional tour guides will give you the whole story, from the tall tales and common folklore to the certifiable facts about the island while you explore Aruba's sea and land wonders in a 4-hour excursion.
The tour starts with a pick up at your hotel between 9:00 and 10:00 am. We offer free hotel transfer from most major hotels of Aruba. In case you are staying somewhere else where we do not pick up, you will need to come to our office by 9:30 am.
During this 4-hour guided bus tour of Aruba, you will visit some of the most famous and important landmarks of the island. Our bilingual guides will keep you entertained and share many interesting information with you.
Your sightseeing excursion of Aruba will visit the following locations:
Natural Bridges: Pounding waves and strong winds have slowly chiseled away at the limestone cliffs along Aruba’s north coast to create several natural bridges. Before collapsing in 2005, the largest and most photographed of these bridges was the famous Natural Bridge between the Bushiribana gold mine ruins and Andicuri Beach. The remains of this bridge are still visible, and you can witness the adjacent intact Baby Bridge being born.
Casibari Rock Formations: These ancient rock formations were created as a result of a collision of tectonic plates. The top of Casibari offers a beautiful panoramic view of Aruba The rocks are surrounded by a “cactus forest” which is also nice to explore.
California Lighthouse: The lighthouse was named after the S.S. California - which sunk previous to its construction in 1910. Perched on a high seaside elevation, the lighthouse has become one of Aruba's scenic trademarks and offers a picture perfect view of the island's western coastline of beaches and coral shorelines.
Alto Vista Chapel: The picturesque Chapel of Alto Vista was the island's first Roman Catholic Church, built 1750 and reconstructed in 1953. The small, bright yellow chapel is reached by a winding road, lined with crosses marking the Stations of the Cross.
Aruba Butterfly Farm: A tropical garden teeming with butterflies, the world's most colorful creatures. Observe the life cycle of these fascinating animals from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. Our tour guides will entertain you with commentary on butterfly habits and the miracle of metamorphosis.
Ice cold water and a pastechi (local snack) are offered during the excursion. Our knowledgeable local guides will keep you entertained the whole day and tell you everything you need to know about Aruba. At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel.
