Description

If you are looking for a quick get-away from the busy areas and can’t wait to be mesmerized by some serious scenery of Aruba’s jaw-dropping coastline, our half day Natural Pool Safari is designed for you.

The tour starts from the moment we pick you up at your hotel or resort. You will be brought to our office, which is located only 10 minutes away from all major resorts, where you will be greeted by your tour captain.

We will leave our headquarter in a small caravan and before you know it you will be stopping at the beautiful historical sites of Aruba, such as:

Fuente Natural Bridges: Pounding waves and strong winds have slowly chiseled away at the limestone cliffs along Aruba’s north coast to create several natural bridges. Before collapsing in 2005, the largest and most photographed of these bridges was the famous Natural Bridge between the Bushiribana gold mine ruins and Andicuri Beach. The tour will stop at an other natural bridge, called the Fuente Natural Bridge.

Arikok National Park: This beautiful nature reserve is home to a variety of unique attractions and cultural heritage sites, including spectacular caves, original Indian rock drawings, unusual land formations made from lava, quartz diorite and limestone, guided nature walks through dry river beds to secluded bays like Moro, Boca Prins and Dos Playa.

Conchi Natural Pool: In a unique rock formation, volcanic stone circles a small depression, creating the tranquil natural pool of Aruba. The location of the pool is surrounded by some of Aruba's most rugged terrain, so a visitor truly gets the feeling of having "discovered" something when they reach the site. The Conchi Natural Pool is Aruba’s most remote, yet most famous natural attraction.

Indian Caves: Along Aruba’s windward coast, in the deep recesses of rock, you will find mysterious wall paintings left behind by Indians. The Guadirikiri Cave is famous for its two chambers, illuminated by the sunlight streaming through holes in the roof of the cave. The Fountain Cave is the most popular one for the Arawak drawings on the ceiling that provides a real sense of island history.

Ayo Rock Formations: These ancient rock formations were created as a result of a collision of tectonic plates. The top of Casibari offers a beautiful panoramic view, while Ayo hosts a path to primitive Indian cave paintings. The rocks are surrounded by a “cactus forest” which is also nice to explore.

The best part of this trip is that you will get to experience the Conchi Natural Pool by swimming and snorkeling. The pool is formed by a wall of volcanic rock formation that allows a tranquil and refreshing swimming, on a side of the island that is otherwise not possible. While snorkeling, you will be amazed by colorful fishes and coral life.

Our state-of-the-art Land Rovers will go through this fun and exhilarating, yet bumpy terrain without hesitation. Our vehicles also feature the most comfortable seats with extra cushioning for added comfort.

Ice cold water is offered throughout the tour and we will serve you a delicious Aruban hot lunch in the morning tour.

At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel.

We had an amazing tour guide named rocky, he exceeded anyone’s expectations of what would be expected on our guided tour. We had an amazing time and he really made our trip worth everything it was . Rocky, they’re lucky to have you !! Thank you !! I wouldn’t go through any of those hotel bookings / tour sites other than ABC TOURS. I know other couples going through other companies that didn’t even touch the experience we had. Rocky’s knowledge of the island and everything there was to experience just made it that much better! Thank you !

Took the am tour with Rocky. He did a great job- very personable and made every effort to keep everyone safe and comfortable, We were warned that the ride was bumpy- no exaggeration there. I was glad that some one who knew the roads was driving and we didn't attempt to do this on our own, Natural pool was lovely but long walk up and down to get there. Rocks are slippery getting into the pool, Beach shoes are a good idea. After seeing many beautiful sights we came back and had a good lunch. Great way to see some of the island and Rocky provided lots of interesting info about Aruba.

We did the entire day excursion with Andrew and Justin as our guides. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and felt it was worth every penny spent. We were able to see so many spots and not worry about where to go next. My husband was impressed with their attention to safety overall but still providing us fun and excitement including off roading that really qualified as adventurous. I have the tendency to get motion and heat sickness and experienced some issues with feeling ill but was still very pleased with our tour. This really did provide us fun memories from our trip. P.S. They had what felt like an endless supply of cold water, of which I was very appreciative! I do wish I would have taken along some Dramamine, but will remember that for the next time!

Rocky led my girlfriend and I on an amazing tour and it was easily our favorite part of the trip. ABC was also incredibly accommodating by going out of their way to drop us off separately from the group to ensure we caught our plane. We couldn't recommend this tour enough to anyone looking for some adventure in Aruba.

This was the highlight of our first trip to Aruba. It was my 15 year old daughter, my husband and I and we did the half-day jeep tour. We got so lucky because it was Thanksgiving and we ended up having a private tour with Andrew. He was AMAZING!!! The whole time in the jeep my daughter kept telling him how much she loved him. He gave us extra special treatment and gave us the history about everywhere he took us. He was extremely knowledgeable and so much fun! After talking with him for just a short while, you felt like you knew him for a lifetime! He made me daughter feel comfortable enough to jump off the cliff into the natural pool and she was so proud of herself! I was scared in the beginning of the ride from the bumps but he showed me where to sit to make it easier! We all loved it and had the best time!!!!! We highly recommend asking for Andrew when booking this tour!

I like to list of the pros of an even first 1. Big G was a lot of fun without being over-the-top, he was a great driver, and he was very informative 2. It was very exciting, sometimes frightening it with some of the roads that we had to go over, and exhilarating
3. Lunch was very good. Most tours only provide a box lunch but this was a barbecue chicken dinner with rice, black beans and coleslaw and open bar. The location was outside the office but was nice except for the road noise.
4. Great way to see the entire island and very cost effective
CONS
1. Do not like riding sideways having to face other clients and hitting your knees on their knees.
2. Very bumpy, sit up close to the driver if possible
LOVED the excursion

Some times these tours can be incredibly mundane. But the guides made it fun and exciting. Truly an off-road adventure with plenty to do and see. The Aruban lunch at the end was fantastic - not your normal packed lunch. The crew from beginning to end was top notch. Thank you Big G for a fantastic trip.

Tour guide Brandon was outstanding; he shared history and facts from the island while being well versed in all of our stopping places. Loved the natural pool and the snorkeling revealed fish all around. Lunch was very good as well (chicken drum, pasta). The Jeep ride is bumpy but if you go prepared for that, it’s fine. Highly recommended way to see places only available by Jeep!

We took the half day tour and at first wished we’d have done a full day. I think being in a Jeep the 1/2 day was enough. Yes it was bumpy but not horrendous. Kinda wish we’d of had the ATV’s, but it’s was still good. Abraham was a very nice guide. Not really talkative while driving, but it’s understandable considering the situation. Once we stopped at places he answered all questions & help. Loved the Natural Pool. Take the snorkel they offer. You just can’t see all the beauty & fish that lie below without them. Also I had read on a previous review & so thankful for that person, bring water-shoes. The rocks can be sharp & slippery getting to the pool & into the water. They helped so much. Also bring a towel. There are a lot of stairs leading down & back up, but they are doable. Although I’m having issues with my knee (started prior to vac) I had no issues with the stairs. There are handrails in some parts which help.
The Natural Bridge we saw were some of the smaller ones & were awesome still to see. Saw the bigger one on a different tour. The Arikok National Park in general was great. The Fontien Cave was very interesting. Smells not so much, but that goes along with it. Nice tour guide there to provide history & information. Goats up on the ridges & in different parts of the park.
We had an unexpected addition by stopping at the Andicuri Beach. That was a beautiful spot with awesome water & waves. Lunch after back at the office where tour starts was very good. Overall great tour & guide. We had a great day.

I'm glad we did this because getting an island tour was pretty cool but I would not do it again and there are other ways to accomplish a tour. Our guides were not informative (stopped at a Catholic church- couldn't tell us anything), stopped at an Aloe field on the side of the road, "take a picture", it felt like filler for an overall kind of weird touristy thing that could have been better done on actual ATV's that we drove. The shade of the truck was nice but they get really "extra" with the driving trying to make it scary and it's pretty unnecessary (one truck ended up with a busted axel). The National Park had some beautiful views, would been nice if they cleaned up the beach where the natural pool is. All kinds of plastic and some medical waste. And there were at least five other tour groups in route or there when we were there. Bit of cattle call. When one of the guests fell at another spot, the guide literally said, "hope she signed the waiver" and did not even go and see if she needed assistance (no first aid kit either). I'm finding lots of reviews in Aruba to only represent the best experience of what appears to be relatively inexperienced travelers or people who don't get the point of the site. #sorrynotsorry
Response from supplier
Hey Suzanne, thank you for posting this and for sharing your review. First of all, I'm are extremely grateful for the people choosing to travel to our island and also for giving us a shot. In your case, we, as a company fell short, sadly. We would like to apologize for that.

To get right into the meat of your comments, neither a stop at a Catholic church, nor aloe field are part of the scheduled stops on the Rugged Natural Pool Safari you participated. Rather, it seems that the tour guide wanted to add additional sights as photo ops. They should have communicated this better with the group. In terms of your claims of the driving getting "extra", this trip is a rugged one (even the tour name suggests this much). Avoiding rugged areas is virtually impossible. Additionally, mechanical failure can occur, which we try to solve as swiftly as humanly possible.

I'm sure you are not claiming that we are responsable for waste that washes ashore around Aruba, right? Also, we try to get to the Natural Pool at least busy times, however, it is a public place, which means that we have no crowd control powers there. Just FYI, ABC Tours is a veteran participant in national beach clean-ups for over a decade now, where we provide volunteers and vehicles for the hard to reach beach areas around this island.

You don't offer enough specifics about the alleged "assistance" that was needed, I cannot comment there. What I can tell you is that our company policy is that all guests on our tours that require medical assistance, needs to be given on the spot and also they are require to notify HQ right away. What I can deduce from the guide's comment was more of an ill-timed attempt at jest.
