Description

This tour is also available at other departure times. The afternoon pirate sail is 3 hours long without lunch. The sunset pirate sail is 2 hours long and offers a romantic experience.

Set sail for a 4-hour morning adventure sailing in Aruba aboard the 85 feet Pirate Schooner. Cruise along the picturesque coastline of the island and visit three of the island's most popular swimming and snorkeling sites teeming with schools of tropical fish.

Our first stop will be Malmok Beach, which is ideal to swim and snorkel with the colorful tropical sea critters. If you are a novice snorkeler, our friendly staff will help you with your gear and tell you the best practices.

We will sail to our next stop, Boca Catalina, where you will find a shallow protected cove area which provides fantastic visibility. Snorkel along colorful fishes like the yellow striped grunts, angelfish, parrot fish and groupers, which are darting in and out of the reef formations.

Our third and best snorkeling site will be the SS Antilla, a 400 feet (130 meters) World War II shipwreck resting on her port side in only 60 feet (18 meters) of water. Its hull, nearly intact after so many years is home to an abundant array of sea life. While under the watchful eyes of experts, the crew will take you from stem to stern along the Antilla Wreck, truly an impressive piece of WWII history.

Once back on board, enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch and an unlimited open bar. Spend the rest of the excursion having fun onboard and in the water. Unleash the pirate in you and swing off the ship into the turquoise sea.

Perfect your tan stretched out on the ample sundeck or relax under the ship's shaded canopy with comfy seating around the bar. The crew members will circulate on the ship and treat you with complimentary beverages.

Upon returning to shore take a rum punch with you for the road.

We had a great time with the Jolly Pirates! From the moment we stepped on the boat, the crew were friendly, organized, and fun! We went to two snorkel sites, including the Antilles shipwreck. The waters were rough but the wreck was one of the best snorkel sites we’d ever seen amongst other places we’ve gone in the Caribbean. We had an infant with us but she had a great time looking out at the water, watching people dive off the boat, and jamming out to the music. The bartender was generous with his pours so remember to bring money to tip him! There was a wide range of ages on our boat and everyone had a great time! The office staff were very friendly and helpful, too, for check-in and afterwards, when we did some shopping for pirate gear. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s looking to go out into the pristine Aruban waters to do something fun!

We booked for a tour in morning, obviously our first time on the Jolly Pirates. Our captain was Ronald. He explained everything to us after we took off. We had great service, a crewmember called Vincent helped us with our ropeswinging! He made great jokes and found us a sanddollar. After ropeswinging we got lunch, witch was descent quality. The bartender got everyone drinks and there was great music! Thank you so much everyone! And thanks Vinny for the sanddollar :)me and my family had a great time. We recommend the Jolly pirates to everyone who wants to have a great time at sea.

This is a fun time. 3 snorkeling destinations a rope swing and lunch. The drinks are super strong. The snorkeling was a very crowded with several other boats at the same destinations.

This is your basic snorkel and booze trip, and is a real blast, for all ages. The crew is exceptionally friendly and they serve a decent lunch to boot. Of particular note is that we had a senior citizen on board, that I sort of wondered how she would navigate getting on and off the boat. Not a problem- the crew was exceptionally helpful assisting her. I was really impressed with that- their parents taught them well

Booked this excursion from home for our last day in Aruba. Awesome experience from beginning to end! Visited 3 areas for snorkeling which was excellent. Great music, great staff! Excellent value including lunch which was very good as well as the booze. The pirate poison drink is delicious. Rope swing off the ship was so much fun! Be sure to tip please, it’s well deserved! Staff is great for a lot of laughs and fun!Highly recommend this adventure if in Aruba!

I went solo on this trip and met some really fun people on the Jolly Pirate. I wish I had some it earlier in the week to meet others like me on island to hang with. The trip itself was so much fum, well organized, and just the right length. The food was what you'd expect for a seaside bbq, and the drinks they were a-flowin! The snorkeling locations were perfect with tons of wildlife and crystal clear water.

Don't forget your sunscreen and apply regularly (shoulders and back, kids) before and after entering the water. That Aruba sun is brutal, even if you're cool in the water.

We have been to Aruba many times and ALWAYS take a trip with the Jolly Pirates and this year was no different except for the rain. Even though there was a torrential downpour we still had a fantastic time. I have never seen it rain that hard in Aruba before. The snorkeling was great, the food was excellent and Julio and Jose' are the consummate hosts. Do yourself a favor and book a cruise with the Jolly Pirates. You won't be disappointed!!!

My husband and I chose the 9am snorkeling trip. It was a blast! The three snorkel spots were great, the drinks were never ending, and we felt like a kid again swinning from the rope swing. The staff only added to the great vibe as well. They were hilarious. Will definitely recommend!

This was our 3rd tour/excursion so far and definitely our favorite!

Snorkeling was good, we had already been snorkeling a lot before this tour but it was cool to be able to see the shipwreck, Antilla.

Drinks were good and free during the whole tour. Our bartender, Javier, made it very fun!

Music made it fun and relaxing.

Food was served when we got back to the dock around 12pm. It was good and filling!

Rope swing- the best part!!! It was a lot of fun, we just wish they had kept it open longer. We could only use it for a short period of time after the last snorkeling spot.

Overall, this was a lot of fun and would recommend to anyone looking for something to do while on the island.

My family and I booked the Pirate Sail and Snorkel Cruise as a fun, new experience and a great way to get to different snorkel sites. The views were beautiful and the crew was so kind and treated us with great hospitality. We enjoyed lunch and the rope swing was a HIT! Unfortunately the snorkel spots weren't great at all - we didn't see a single fish. We were really looking forward to that part of the trip but were really disappointed.

Not only was this day trip super fun, the staff went above and beyond when my son lost his watch after swinging off the boat. They let my son look for a little bit but when it was time for lunch they wanted him to eat. They took over the search for the watch and amazingly found it!! I was just impressed they cared so much. We appreciated the fun day and their caring spirit! Thank you!

I've been on zillions of snorkeling, diving, dinner and booze-cruises in the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe. This was the highlight of our recent trip to Aruba. Xavier and the rest of the crew were warm, friendly, gracious and fun - including making sure to engage and talk with every guest on the trip. The ride was smooth, the drinks (while a bit devoid of alcohol - which is pretty much standard) were good and the food was actually pretty good. Xavier was funny and entertaining and my wife (who doesn't dive - yet) was captivated by the tropical fish that the crew put us over. Very safe - there was a kid about 5 who the crew made sure had the best time on his first experience in the water off of a boat. The boat was clean, well kept and expertly guided. If you book on-line the price is $50 USD and if you book while there its $60. The check-in is smooth (especially if you sign your waivers on -line) and the shore staff are helpful and friendly. It's near the Holiday Inn Resort and next to the Moombah Bar (which has great entertainment in the evenings). Bring a towel if you wish but you probably won't need it. The snorkel sites are a WWII German ship that was scuttled, a reef and a place near the shore that has tons of tropical fish that will school around you (DON'T chase them, just float and they will come to you). Bring about $20 for tips (you will want to) but tipping is not necessary. The "rope-swing" is fun and almost everyone does it at least once. The best part again is the crew. They are having fun and make sure you do too. They have two excursions 8:00 am and 1:00 pm Do the morning and you can spend the rest of the day on the beach or exploring the island. Can't recommend highly enough.Good for couples and families.

We went as a group on the AM trip. The staff were fun and helpful. The bar opened soon after we sailed but most were interested in getting to our first snorkeling stop. This was in somewhat deep water but we were able to float over the sunken ship and see its outline. We made 2 more snorkeling stops both in more shallow water. We were able to see some colorful fish. Most wore life jackets so it wasn't a struggle to just float around. The last stop was a really fun stop with people jumping off the boat and swinging out off of the Tarzan swing.Somewhere in there we were served lunch which was pretty good. This outing was a highlight of our trip to Aruba.

Family of 4 enjoyed our recent Jolly Pirates morning cruise. Snorkelling at Boca Catalina was the best of the three sites today with sand snakes available for viewing and many other fish. Rope swing lots of fun for all. Food and drinks good. Crew excellent and there to help and answer questions. Music good and not too overpowering which is a bonus. Recommended!

Nicest Pirates you'll ever meet. Great snorkeling for beginners as well as veterans. We've been out with them over 30 times in 14 years and have never had a bad experience. Within minutes that make you feel like you are part of their Jolly Pirate family. We do all three different voyages each year we visit and all of them will leave you wanting more. Great for those who like an adult beverage [try the pirates poison] or folks like me who are just soda drinkers. Suggest the sunset cruise the night before you leave the island---beautiful lasting memory of that happy island. we've gotten to know many of the crew and have maintained contact with them thru out the year while we are back in the real world. Try them once and you'll be a JP fan forever.
