Description

Enjoy a complimentary pick-up at your hotel or cruise ship terminal between 8:30-9:00 am. Our friendly crew will welcome you on board as we depart for this 7-hour sightseeing bus tour of Curacao to discover its history and natural wonders.


Your professional guide will tell you all about Curacao's rich history between the several stops of this Curacao island tour. You will visit the breathtaking Hato Caves, see the flamingos in their natural habitat and enjoy yourself at two of the most beautiful beaches on the island.


We will first visit the Hato Caves where Arawak indians and escaped slaves used to hide. Today, it is home to beautiful limestone formations, romantic pools, a colony of seldom seen long nose fruit bats as well as stalactites and stalagmites still in formation.


You will take a 45-minute guided tour in the Hato Caves on a paved illuminated path. Your guide will point out the cave drawings that the Arawak indians left behind, estimated to be 1,500 years old.


The sightseeing island tour will stop at Playa Piskado. Fishermen unload their catch in this bay that attracts turtles so you are almost certain to be able to swim with them. Then we leap over to Porto Marie Beach where you will have 2 hours to spend swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach.


We will pass by the salt lake at St. Willibrordus to see the flamingos in their natural habitat on our way back to your hotel or cruise ship terminal.

    Cruise ship passengers: When you get off the ship, walk straight to the big white tent inside the terminal. You will see a tour dispatcher with an “Irie Tours” sign. They will bring you to the bus.

    We took a surf and turf bus tour with Kurt when we were on Carnival Sunshine last week. It was a great tour, we visited the caves , a lake with flamingos and a beautiful beach. It was about 5.5 hours. Kurt was a very great guide, lots of great insights about local life.

    Went to the caves, which is very interesting and made a few stops before spending time at the beach. The driver was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Enjoyed the time at the beach - it costs 3.50 for the beach chair.. Next trip I plan to do the day trip to the beach.

    We arrived in Curacao on a cruise ship and we decided to spend 5 hours. We met our entertaining and knowledgeable guide, Bob, just outside the Rif Fort. He then drove us to Hato Caves where our onsite guide took us on a 45 minute walk. The caves were formerly home to runaway slaves but now are inhabited by tiny fruit bats so no photos are allowed inside. On our way to Jan Kok Plantation we passed St. Willibrodus Lake which is home to a flock of flamingoes. The Plantation house is now an art gallery run by a whimsical artist, Nena Sanchez. Then we were off to beautiful Porto Marie Beach where we spent a couple of hours. Had a very good lunch at the bar there. There is a small cost for the beach chairs as this is a private beach. Bob then returned us to Curacao where we had some time to explore the town before returning to the ship. The tour was very good value for the money and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good overview of a charming island.

    While in Curacao on a cruise, we booked the Surf and Turf tour. Lucky for us, we were the only ones to book for that day and they could not get anyone else to book on the pier, so we got the experience of a private tour. Our driver, Eddy, was excellent! Very friendly and knowledgable about he surroundings as we toured the city. Trip included a visit to Hato Caves, which are remarkable to view. Our guide, Dessi, was awesome. Informative and friendly. If you have difficulty walking or climbing, be wary of the caves as there are 49 steep steps to the cave entrance. We then went to see the Flamingos - so pretty. Our final stop was the beach. Very nice beach - gorgeous views!! All in all - a very good tour that we enjoyed.
