We enjoyed our time with our tour guide, Max, who was very knowledgeable about Aruba and everywhere we rode to. We were able to ask him questions and he always had a quick answer. The horseback riding was fun; the horses were really sweet and did not give any problems with us.

This was our first real time horseback riding, but we were taught everything we needed to know and didn't feel like we were overburdened with instructions. It was a great time overall!

My daughter and I booked with the Rancho Notorious folks for the hidden lagoon ride on our recent vacation, and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Max our guide and the rest of the team were very hospitable and fun guides for a tour through the amazingly vast desert of the island. The horses and other animals on their ranch (to include their crazy family of friendly dogs) are VERY well cared for and seem to enjoy being around people and doing what they do. The pre-ride gathering place at the ranch is quite fun as well - old western saloon type bar with Willie Nelson on the jukebox. Thanks for a great time; we had a blast! YEEEEHAW!!!

My husband and I took our 6-year-old niece to Rancho Notorious for her first real horse back riding experience. I wasn't sure what to expect and was a little nervous but she was excited and we wanted to treat her.

We were promptly picked up at our hotel by our guide, Nestor. He was extremely pleasant and warm. It turned out that he was to be our guide on the ride as well.

We arrived at the ranch and were ready to go. Of course, my niece wanted the biggest horsed there. But Nelson fitted her to the appropriate size and personality and she loved it. All of the horses were well cared for and looked extremely healthy.

The ride itself was gorgeous. We traveled through the desert and in and out of cactus fields. We rode all the way to the ocean and stopped to take some photos and investigate the lava rock. Nelson was informative and funny and made the ride very special. Upon our return he even popped my niece up on the large horse she liked from the very beginning.

After our departure, Nelson emailed me all of the pictures he had taken of our adventure. Truly a great ride and it was made even better by such a great guide. Thanks so much!

My husband and I went with guide Nestor on a sunset horseback ride. We were picked up at our hotel on time. Nestor is good with the horses and was personable and knowledgeable while on the tour. The horses looked well taken care of and the stable seemed in order. I am a beginner rider and I had zero trouble with my horse, he was well trained and very calm. The trail was a bit rocky and narrow at times, but we did not have any trouble navigating it at all. I think this trip was well worth the money spent. If you want to book this ride I would ask for Nestor by name, he seems to really care for the horses and gave us the maximum time for the tour.

My wife and I went horseback riding on January 2nd. The tour guide we had was nice but did not speak much English. Horses struggled on parts of the mountains that were filled with rocks

Pros:
-Scene of the rough water beach is amazing

Cons:
-Trail from their ranch to the open is very narrow and we both got poked by cactus. It is not maintained too well.
- We made our way back around 5pm and were bit by mosquitoes. We each had about 8 bug bits and wish we were warned prior to put on bug spray.
